I need help!!!
I am fed up with Cingular since I can't get a signal in my house and am going with Sprint, since much of my friends and family are Sprint users. However, I am at loss on what phone. I am need just a solid no-frills phone, so Vision is not necessary. I am looking at the Nokia 3588i, the Samsung vi660 and the Sanyo 5300. Any suggestions on these 3 or any other would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

The only non-vision phone of the one's you listed is the Nokia, but it does have txt msg on it, the samsung is a basic vision phone that I've had good feedback on, it's also txt capable, the Sanyo 5300 is the best performing of the 3 overall, picture phone w/ vision but no txt msg, if you wnt a smaller one the Sanyo 8100 is a very good choice also, lower pic res though (320x240 vs. 640x480).

I agree with ruf-jason, the 5300 is the best you've mentioned, in which you can get new with a 2 year aggreement for $49.99, I previously had one and upgraded to the vm 4500, also have an 8100, can't beat the performance for the price. My brother has the 3588, he loves it (with SMS).

We have sold hundreds of the 5300 and people love it. It will make you realize how bad your service was before. The Nokia is ok, but it has issues. The samsung is alright, too, but neither can touch the 5300 in value and performance. And the free battery is nice.

Go for the Sanyo, flip phones are easier to use. The Sanyo 8100 is inexpensive and still a good phone.

Thanks to everyone's help. I took the suggestions and went with the Sanyo 5300. This phone has so much better reception than any phone I have had up until now. And it just seems like a solid phone, even if it didn't have all the photo/web capabilities with it. 😁 😁 😁

The phone is great whether or not you use the vision and camera capabilities...it's still a superior phone...as with all Sanyo's. Great Marketing...Sanyo only being offered from Sprint.
