of changes. 😡

More and more sprint is doing something everyday. Today they billed my mother $80.00 for a new service agreement (1 year contract). She is already a customer and she just let her old contract run out. Her new monthly bill would be 35.00. Well I told her to call sprint and find out why they billed her $80.00.

Well now we cant get through to sprint, why? Because they only open from 9a-9p central standard time now.

SINCE WHEN??!!!

and in the week they close at 1a.

aaaaaarrgggghhhhh 👿

Ok here is the scoop.

Sprint supervisor stated that sprint is starting to bill one month in advance for if you change your plan, they stated that they been doing that since 2001 plus they said they incorrectly billed my mother wrong from AUGUST so that was added in.

I told them that I have been a customer for 5 years...and that was a bunch of crap.

The customer service agent would not even let me talk to the supervisor and took upon herself to say that she would cut my mother phone off.

Is a good thing our paperwork and dates were together...we put them off point by point.

You sure that customer service isn't open 24 hours anymore? I thought that their foreign offices are still open to take calls after hours.

Yes, I am pretty sure,

I called last tuesday night re: my contract at 2am the office was closed. I usually call late at night because of the long hold during the day/evening hours.

Then when I called yesterday morning at 8a the prompt stated that offices are open from 9a-9p central standard time.

I Have been a sprint customer for 3 years. I am a realtor and have the most expensive plan they have.

Sprint has the most terrible customer service of all wireless providers. You can go to clarkhoward.com and read all about this. They are notorious for ripping their customers off and not giving a ****. Why because they in most cases have a deposit from you and if you refuse to pay they will ruin your credit.

Yoy would be wise to get your mom to wait until the 24th of november and change over to verizon and keep her same number.

Sprint does not deserve your money.

My mother called the 3rd of October when she renewed her contract and receive so many minutes for 1 PENNY more..therefore, bringing her plan from 34.99 to 35.00. The Agent told her that her new plan would not start till 10.29.03.

Upon calling yesterday the supervisor stated that when you change your contract they bill you a month in advance and that the agent who she spoke with on Oct. 3rd started her plan on the 14th??!! How do you get 40.00+ difference for a 1 cent more in plan that started on the 14th when it was supposed to start on the 29th. Plus they bill a month in advance.

I had been with sprint 5 years and changed my plan last year I was never billed a month in advance and the superviosr told me they been doing since 2001. ...

From the sound of it, she got prorated. That means they billed her from the 14th of Oct, to the 29th of OCt, plus the month in advance... Sprint has Always billed a Month in advance for as long as I have known them.. Only Government accounts get bill in arrears..

However if she was bill from 10/14/03 - 10/29/03 her prorated charge would be 18.06 and the month in advance would be $35.00 totaling 53.06.. But doing the math it sounded as if the plan was changed on the 10/03/03 when she called in, cuz the prorated charge would be $30.49 and then added to the $35 would be around $65 plus taxes.. But without actually seeing the bills I can't tell you for sure what happend.

You were always billed a month in advance.. take a look at the bills a little closer.. preferable the section that breaks down the charges per phone.. Their is normally a date next to the charge. it will usually look something like this.

example:

Invoice date: 10/01/03

Trust me... You are billed a month in advance every month.. Every carrier bills that way.. even your landline carrier bills a month in advance, so do the cable companies... the ONLY thing on your Sprint Bill that is billed at the END of the month, is overage and/or roaming calls or any other charges you incurr DURING the month like Directory assistance, purchaseing ringers, screensaver and apps, etc..

😁 i was a Sprint cust for 11 mths and 26 days.i cancelled my service saying my phone was stolen .and they let me out. they tried every month to say i went over my mins.when i didn't even go use mins one month .i was away and the bill came in w/ no mins on it but airtime chargs of $70.00.Sprint is a rip off company. by the way all carriers do not bill in advance now a AWS cust.and when nyt cycle runs from OCT 1/03 to OCT 30/03.my bill is print 2 days after that for that cycle not the month before. 😈

ATTWS Bills a month in advance too.. The carrier will usually put a date next to the monthly charge showing you what time frame the charge is for. look at your bill and see it.. You INVOICE DATE which is always at the top of the bill Shows what date the bill was generated.

yes but for AWS they bill behind .you get the bill for the usage you have used not for usage you have not used..hence the prorating of minutes when service is interupted.

Apparently when your mom changed plans, the rep changed it for today instead of the end of the bill cycle. When it is made today, you are prorated. It should have all washed though because she should have recieved credit for the MRC not used. Did she go over her minutes? If she used a lot of minutes before the bill cycle is over then the system will calculate the minutes per day and charge overage.

i.e.

If she had a 500 minute plan:
500 min / 30 days = 16.6 min a day.
If she used 500 min in 15 days, she was only allowed about 249 for that duration. Any minutes past 249 would be calculated as overrage.

Sprint has always charged a month in advance for MRC and past month for usage.
