Are any of these changes considered a material change in the TOS to Sprint? They're all considered material to me.

$10 data requirement won't be, since it's not affecting you unless you switch to a different device (I assume they waive it for insurance/warranty replacements)

Coverage it depends. Carrier's don't promise coverage in specific areas, so you're highly unlikely to get this one either. more than likely they'll tell you about their air rave.

As for 411, I'm pretty sure that company increased their cost (cause it hit everyone). Unless your contract explicitly included 411 calls, this won't count. It's like PremiumSMS companies changing their rates.

I'm specifically referring to the removal of home coverage in the Dakotas. It's now roaming.

As for the $10 data requirement, if I change out my wife's hero for her instinct because she doesn't want to lose the hero, I'm hit for the $10.

As far as roaming goes, do you get charged extra for it? If so you might be able to do something, but they could just allow you to roam in those areas without incurring charges. If she's on a modern plan, the only thing they can do if you're roaming is terminate your line, and if they do that, you can contest (and most likely win) the ETF.

And the ESN change is outside of your contract, so them adding the $10 doesn't violate it. When you sign a contract with them (or any carrier) it's for the plan and device. If you change either one of those things, they reserve the right to say they can change the contract (within reason). This change is very similar to what Verizon went through with the 3GMM devices, and I haven't heard of anyone ...

Ahh...but when roaming you use plan minutes, not any mobile anytime.

EH, it's still unlikely. Coverage is rarely a way you can get out of paying ETF anymore. People were using it a bit too often, so the wording changed.

It's worth a try, but I wouldn't count on it.

The Sprint coverage change in WY/MT/ND is something they are not taking lightly. Customers who are being affected by this coverage change ARE getting their ETF's waived if they choose to cancel their services.

Me personally, I think they should charge 10.00 for 411 calls. If you can't use one of the hundreds of apps or the internet to find that information for free, then you deserve the "tard charge".
"Oh, cameltowing, that's just absurd. What will Grandma do because she just has a crappy old phone with no apps and data".
Well, that's okay because you know Grandma has a phone book and a landline in every room of the house. She's also pimpin' that AOL. 🤣

As far as the coverage. I don't know. Sounds like if you got the right person on the phone you might be able to get out of the contract.

Well, if 411 calls were that expensive, the companies wouldn't be able to profit because, like you said, no one will use them.

Just like cigarettes, they profit off people's ignorance.
