OK, so since a certain senior citizen I know would rather sit with someone while they DIE 🙄 until a stranger comes along with a cell phone, rather than leave them to go get help (yes, it's happened twice now!) I'm looking to add large-button, big screen, easy to read and use ULTRA BASIC phone to my Sprint family plan for him. Does it exist? And can I get it from telesales with a local number for him, or would I have to go "home" and buy it for him in order to get a local number? TIA!

Diane.

the Sanyo 3810 is great, they retired it but some stores, radio shacks or best buys may still have it, larger seperated buttons, font size goes real large! Its a simple flip phone

No, we don't. But the 3810 is a good phone for seniors.

OK, thanks.

Next: do I have to drive to where my dad lives to get him a local number, or could a web or phone associate do that?

call care 888-211-4727 and they can do what we call a market transfer to get a number with the correct area code for where the user lives.
