Sprint capping/throttling data usage for all devices?
Sprint is apparently looking to cap data usage for all devices at some point. From Engadget:
"We're hearing from a couple sources that the shot here from The Playbook is a little out of context, and actually refers to a new feature for businesses looking to restrict disproportionately high usage by employees with company data cards. That sounds a little less painful, does it not? Thanks, everyone!"
I can tell you that the day Sprint its customers' data usage rates is the day we go under. I work for and support the company, but capping data usage for phones would be disastrous.
My wife uses her Hero (sprint) as a modem and easily exceeds 5g a month, but she has never experienced any speed issues. After all, she is paying for EVERYTHING data.
