Not informing customers........
More and more sprint is doing something everyday. Today they billed my mother $80.00 for a new service agreement (1 year contract). She is already a customer and she just let her old contract run out. Her new monthly bill would be 35.00. Well I told her to call sprint and find out why they billed her $80.00.
Well now we cant get through to sprint, why? Because they only open from 9a-9p central standard time now.

and in the week they close at 1a.

Sprint supervisor stated that sprint is starting to bill one month in advance for if you change your plan, they stated that they been doing that since 2001 plus they said they incorrectly billed my mother wrong from AUGUST so that was added in.
I told them that I have been a customer for 5 years...and that was a bunch of crap.
The customer service agent would not even let me talk to the supervisor and took upon herself to say that she would cut my mother phone off.
Is a good thing our paperwork and dates were together...we put them off point by point.
I called last tuesday night re: my contract at 2am the office was closed. I usually call late at night because of the long hold during the day/evening hours.
Then when I called yesterday morning at 8a the prompt stated that offices are open from 9a-9p central standard time.
Sprint has the most terrible customer service of all wireless providers. You can go to clarkhoward.com and read all about this. They are notorious for ripping their customers off and not giving a ****. Why because they in most cases have a deposit from you and if you refuse to pay they will ruin your credit.
Yoy would be wise to get your mom to wait until the 24th of november and change over to verizon and keep her same number.
Sprint does not deserve your money.
Upon calling yesterday the supervisor stated that when you change your contract they bill you a month in advance and that the agent who she spoke with on Oct. 3rd started her plan on the 14th??!! How do you get 40.00+ difference for a 1 cent more in plan that started on the 14th when it was supposed to start on the 29th. Plus they bill a month in advance.
I had been with sprint 5 years and changed my plan last year I was never billed a month in advance and the superviosr told me they been doing since 2001. ...

and billed her for that to and tried to say it was her fault.....
luckily I got all her paperwork together and who she spoke with and on what date and in fact what ever they billed her she paid....but the dont want to admit to that...alll he said was sorry, we will try our best in the future.
However if she was bill from 10/14/03 - 10/29/03 her prorated charge would be 18.06 and the month in advance would be $35.00 totaling 53.06.. But doing the math it sounded as if the plan was changed on the 10/03/03 when she called in, cuz the prorated charge would be $30.49 and then added to the $35 would be around $65 plus taxes.. But without actually seeing the bills I can't tell you for sure what happend.
I changed plans every year with new contracts and they never billed me a month in advance.
example:
Invoice date: 10/01/03
i.e.
If she had a 500 minute plan:
500 min / 30 days = 16.6 min a day.
If she used 500 min in 15 days, she was only allowed about 249 for that duration. Any minutes past 249 would be calculated as overrage.
Sprint has always charged a month in advance for MRC and past month for usage.
Oh and really the only way for us to TRULY figure out what happend is to see the bill.. I would be able to figure it out in a heartbeat if I saw the bill.
