I am with TMO and ATT lookin to get all phones (4 total) on 1 carrier. 2 phones use alot of text, minutes, etc. the other 2 are for emergency or very little talking only. I need the lowest price and also lookin at possibly tethering. Is there extra cost with Sprint to tether?what about the other carriers?

it is possible...

4 phones, 1500 minutes, Talk, Text, Data, Email, GPS, early nights/weekends, unlimited cell-to-cell (*ALL* cell phones -verizon, at&t, tmob, Virgin, etc)

= $170/month + taxes/insurance. (first two phones $130... each additional phone $20)

For tethering... get Android phones (for lines that you want to tether) - Moment, Hero, soon-to-be-released Evo (Evo will be $10/month more)...

Tethering: Two choices...
1) Buy HTC Evo and Pay $30/month to turn that phone into a mobile-hot-spot. Connect up to 8 devices to your phone with unlimited data. This is the "official" method of tethering - and will be the only way to do it... officially...

or...

2) Purchase PDANet for the phones you want to tether for a one time...

As previously stated, tethering is not officially supported on any phone besides the soon releasing EVO.

As a Sprint rep, I just want to say that if you want to modify your phone's software in a non-approved fashion to get around the rules, don't expect any assistance when your device crashes or you have MEGA-overages.
