The terms of TEP state that it's active from the time it's put on your account, and the only limiting factor is that you can only have three approved claims within a calender year.

I would think if he would have problems trying to file a claim that it could cause some legal problems. He has a feature added on his account that he is currently paying for, but he cannot use it for the first 30 days he is paying for it? That's like adding data to your plan, and having to pay for it the first month without being able to use it.

Oh, and not to mention the fact that I have seen countless times in ensemble a user who had upgraded their phone or added a new line and within a month had a replacement handset through TEP on their line.
