Call a local Cricket store and ask. Just a note- if they flash it to work on Cricket you won't be able to use it for Sprint after that.

Yes it can. I have done many... you can get talk/text easily on it and it can also be programmed to get web by someone who knows what they're doing. No Pic Mail though and the only internet app that you can get working is the browser.

It's 50/50 whether or not they can activate the esn after it has been flashed.

That's not true at all... as long as the ESN is not already in Cricket's system then there shouldn't be any problem unless you are in a tri-band coverage area. You can't use flashed phones in tri-band areas.

Im pretty sure they can activate it on Cricket, but as of activating it back to Sprint you wont be able to. Sure you can activate it on Sprints system, but the programming info changes and we wont be able to program and use the phone again. Once its been flashed, the Auto Programming will fail and yo uwont be able to do the ##xxxxxx# again, you'll always get the same message "Welcome to the American Roaming Network" etc or something like that. Trust me ive never been able to flash it back to Sprint EVER once its been flashed to a different carrier.

Same experience here... once it's got the Cricket PRL on it, haven't been able to flash it back even by putting the Sprint PRL back on it.
