AiRave is an equipment that you can have added to your account on an additional line. this works as a signal booster, compairable to the MiFi, you want to look at that equipment too.

The AiRave is a device that preferable stays in the home so you can have a boost of constant signal for your cell phones. People that should be interested in this are ones who live in a building with thick walls or sub level homes. check us out sometime. http://www.nextel.com/en/services/airave/inde x.shtml?id9=vanity:airave

"Where" is the key word in my question. My parents need one and have not been able to find one in two months. Kinda need it.

Thanks Sprint2008, you caught it.

Awesome, thanks!

Don't know why that ever crossed my mind.
Should ESN checking really be needed?

If you call CS and ask about it they may be able to find one. A 3G EVDO version is on the way which I can only guess the production of 1xrtt versions was stopped to use up the stock. My guess is they were counting on the EVDO version being out by now since they are very low on the 1xrtt version.

The Airave is a little different than has been described. It isn't an additional line. It is a device that plugs into your broadband enabled computer. Your phone then connects to it rather than the regular signal, boosting your strength.

If you believe you need the device dial *2 on your phone and ask for Tech Support or Account Services, either place can take care of you.

I switched to another carrier a few months ago so I no longer use mine if you want it. Very good condition. I still have everything, including the box and paperwork/manual.
