Discount on 2x treo 600 at store vs amazon

I am hoping to buy two treo 600's this week and get the 2000 min plan with business connect. I noticed that amazon has the phone for 399 vs the store by me for 449. I approached the manager and he became outright unfriendly and said he had no flexibility. In my view I am making a 24 month commitmenment for over $3700 and the store should be motivated to have the business with them not at amazon. Maybe I a wrong, can someone PLEASE tell me what type of control local store managers have on this item. By the way they had 8 treo 600's in stock.

Thank you in advance for the help 😕

Normally stores will do something for people who are activating multiple lines w/Sprint. However, I do not know if they will do something for only two lines. That will depend on the store manager at the location you go to. Remember this, on that 2000 minute plan you are really only paying for one line because the second line is free. Therefore, unless you go over your minutes that second line is not generating any type of revenue for Sprint. Just something to think about. Good luck & do ask to speak to a manager b/c you never know what they will do for you. The Treo 600 is a wise choice in the PDA phone department though!

I would highly doubt that they will give you any type of discount on the phone. It doesn't matter to him if you got 2 Treo's, or 2 of any other type of vision phone. Nobody at the store gets paid commission on the amount of the phones, only that you activate them. Store employees hear the same thing a hundred times a day, "I want a better price". Its not that they don't care, its that it gets so old that its not even worth trying to talk to a customer about.

Sprint is offering 150.00 off the Treo 600. Looks like Amazon is offering an additional 50.00 off the phone. Sprint eats the cost on the 150.00 and Amazon eats the 50.00. In the retail store, we cannot adjust price to match third party stores. Sprints theory? They dont care where you buy the phone from. Bottom line is you are purchasing Sprint phones to use on their network and paying MRC's to Sprint and will lose 150.00 and only 150.00 on the phone be it that it is purchased at SPCS retial store or Amazon.com or Best Buy. Amazon is considered competition only to the sales reps at retail locations, not by Sprint.
