PAM and Everything Data Plans
drakeAug 21, 2009, 9:02 AM
Has anyone found a good way of combining these plans?
...
You have to get a regular plan, do the $30 data pack, and then the $15 PAM add on. For another $15 you can add a new line and get a connection card for $59.99 a month for 5gb of use.
...
if you have a windows mobile, palm os, or android phone there is plenty of software you can download to use PAM. you just have to have unlimited web on your phone.

I have tried to find some of this software and have not been successful. I have a Palm Pro. Can you send me a direct links? 😁

If you are using a Blackberry, the BES will enable PAM. if you are using the Palm Pre there are Home Brew hacks such as My Tether which will enable tethering. There is an exploit for PAM on the Everything plans. To me it wouldn't be cost effective to Sprint's customers. The customer would end up paying an additional $45 dollars per month.

What about the $40 dollar Blackberry pack? That includes PAM, but can it be attached to the Simply everything or Everything data? I don't think so.
I've had to split phones up with the talk plans then add pro packs and PAMADDON. Silly.
...
your right, and the BES addon for everything plans does not include PAM.
...
ill look for the link and post it when im not workin....btw the PAM feature from sprint is not supported by any of the everything plans. so you hafta use your own software. no way there gonna give you unl internet to tether

What program or system are you using? I know iRMS will not allow this, especially now. If you have a Blackberry and used previous softwares before v4.5, you were able to tether on any Data Everything plan and Simply Everything plan; no additional service needed. $20 BES is the only plan that should enable PAM on Data Everything plans and Simply Everything plans. There are alot of SOC codes that I've seen that allow PAM on Data Everything and Simply Everything plans. Also UNLIMITED data (no 5GB) for data cards.
