And they were out of stock. I was going to be a brand-new customer switch my services from my T-mobile Blackberry Curve 8900 to the Tour, but it looks like that is not going to happen now. Seriously I work for Verizon and we've have dozens of them lying around. Way to blow it Sprint!
...
I'm guessing that since they are already SOLD OUT of a phone that's been out for a week, they didn't blow anything. Something is working or they would have "dozens of them lying around".......like Verizon apparently.
...
They didn't already sell out of the phone. They have had it back-ordered since Sunday. People who placed orders Sunday did not even receive their devices yet (or are you hiding under a rock?). They blew it. They botched the launch. Deal.
...
Back Ordered is the same thing as Sold out buddy.
...
Yeah...he doesn't know the definition of back order. HAHAHAHAAHAHA! HA!

I dont mean to be rude, but if you worked for Verizon and there so great, and with all of them just LYING around, why wouldn't you just get it with the carrier you WORK for?
...
Starting with the fact that VZW reserves the right to pull your call, web, and message logs at any time, for any reason. If you're "caught" doing or saying anything inappropriate, you're terminated. I hate having a company with that much desire to know what I'm doing on my personal phone and aircard. Big Brother is most certainly watching you here at VZW.
That and well, Sprint has really good smartphone support, at least for WinMo devices (nevermind their Touch Pro isn't gimped), and usually sells the smartphones cheaper.
There are a ton of reasons I can come up with for not having VZW, and I work here. I can also come up with a ton of reasons to have one with VZW too. A carrier is a carrier. They all suck in one way or another, ...

Let me understand.....a guy who works for Verizon, but, has T-Mobile service which he wants to port to Sprint.....hmmmmm
...
First of all, backorder does not mean sold out it means "Sprint didn't have enough phones in stock when they launched the phone i.e. they screwed up".
And Verizon Wireless does not have service in this area but I do customer service for them. Thus I cannot get a Verizon Wireless phone because they legally cannot sell it to me under Federal law.
Next time you want to reply with a sarcastic response, get your information right. Sprint screwed up the launch. Period. They can't ever launch a handset right. Google it.
...
Yeah they can. They do it all the time. lol
They just can't give you a local number because they don't have license. Whats your zip code?
...
42101....but OTA and enhanced services will not work in my area. All I would have is Internet, E-mail and Voice....and if I have any problems with the device I'd have to drive almost two hours for the nearest store.
