Okay. Verizon tried to ambush the industry back in January '08 by launching it's Unlimited Plan for $99.99. Of course within six hours AT&T and T-Mobile had responded with similar offerings (obviously spies were involved but that's good, right?) Anyway...Sprint fired back by launching Simply Everything for $99.99 and I think Simply Everything is the best idea in wireless. However...it is still not doing the trick for some reason. I don't know why but the ship is still sinking. I don't want the ship to sink. Call me crazy, but the idea of losing another carrier is just not thrilling to me. Things to actually turn the company around:
1- get an iphone level phone, not a pretender.
2- get a good marketing company, one that demonstrates the superior services Sprint offers. GTFO with these obscure black and white commercials that do NOTHING to differentiate Sprint's products and services.
3- stop the dam hiring freezes and layoffs. First you start this ready now campaign then the company actively blocks the stores having enough manpower to do it. We barely have enough to operate, much less sell to customers walking out the door, much much less than to spend thirty minutes setting up someone's email for them.

Sprint's network is not the problem...it's Sprint's reputation. I think a name change is in order. Maybe someone with a strong brand could buy them out. I think if someone bought the divested Alltel markets and Sprint and combined the two under the Alltel brand...that would be nice. Scott Ford where are you?

Yes definitely the name has a lot of problems. One needs to change the name in order for their reputation to improve. Everything else is very good; network, plans and devices. Too bad they cant do something about their image to improve on their dreadful numbers.
