Sprint Nextel may be feeling the pinch from businesses earliest because, among the top wireless carriers, it has the largest proportion of corporate customers. Sprint reported a "sizable" increase in turnover among corporate customers, accounting for more than 25 percent of its user base. Companies are eliminating employees and canceling contracts.

Interesting article but not entirely true. It is easy at this point for Hesse to say " hey people are losing jobs, so we're losing business" The fact is they were losing business far before our troubling economy.

Now the real deal is Sprint/Nextel lost 1.1million Nextel customers! yeah that's right Nextel! The noose around sprint neck! If sprint could ditch Nextel, and start an effective advertising campaign they could once again achieve results!

I'm just speaking from experience on this and no real hard facts, BUT that article speaks directly to your statement about Nextel. 80% of the businesses I deal with use Nextel, they are small businesses so they are getting hit first in the economic mess. So, if Sprint is losing business customers, not because they are unhappy with the company, but because they are cutting cost, it would seem to me that a majority of them would be Nextel users.

You are correct that Sprint has been suffering loses since before the current economic climate, but do you think that maybe this article may explain why are loses are still high even with the company turning things around? It's easy to make any article you read negative, but try taking in the whole...

If losses are high is the company truly turning things around? I hope Sprint gets with it and springs at least a $79.99 Unlimited Voice plan on the industry.

In this economy price may determine who the clear winner is in wireless when the dust clears. It might not be AT&T or Verizon either.

I had Verizon once, and my service was terrible. What's your point?

So what? I canceled my service with Verizon because it was terrible. How dumb would it have been for me to keep it based on a "minority" experience?

You have wonderful service with Sprint. Good for you! Nobody's asking you to leave. But you're clearly in the minority. I know it's painfully hard for you to accept. As for the "point" it was pretty obvious that people in any economy are willing to pay for something they deem to be "of value." That's all I got out of the comment - it wasn't a tough one to crack and I didn't see it as a personal attack on Sprint. Settle down. There's people starving somewhere.
