One Number For DC And Mobile Question

Since it will be necessary to include the asterisks within the mobile # when contacting QChat phones from DC, will Sprint offer one number for DC as well, with the inclusion of the asterisks? (e.g. mobile # 555-555-5555 with DC # 555*555*5555)?

I'm not sure I understand your question but there's a video on the from page of Buzz About Wireless that shows off the CDMA Direct Connect on the new Sanyo pro phones. That may help you out?

That was supposed to be FRONT page of Buzz about Wireless.

There's also an interactive tutorial about teh Sanyo PRO-200 at this link that gives a bit of information about how to use and set up Direct Connect.

My question is about having one number for cellular and DC on a regular Nextel phone just like the new Sprint HPPTT handsets. If both systems require the use of asterisks within the ptt number to communicate across each network, then surely a standard iDEN set can use it's own mobile # for DC ...

Oh! I'm sorry. Totally misunderstood. As far as I know the Iden Nextel Direct Connect system will remain the same.
