How the hell can Alltel buy Sprint when it can't even launch their service Nationwide. Why aren't they in the Tristate area? How come I've never seen an Alltel store around? Please try again.

Usually when I hear "tri-state area" without qualification, I take it to mean NJ-NY-PA.

Well heck, I know the Tri-State Tollway is named because of Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin, but Chicagoland is generally never referred to as a "tri-state area." I did a ZIP code search, and there aren't any Alltel stores within 50 miles of New York or Philadelphia, so that lends more credence to Tristate being NJ-NY-PA in this instance. (FWIW, there's three [one apparently an affiliate] within 50 miles of Cairo, IL.)

but it is still a tri state area. and when you refer to tri state i dont think ppl want to research where there are stores at a tri state area to find out what you are talking about. you should list it.

My dream is for Google to buy Sprint. Google treats their employees awesome. Their office is basically a playground.I wouldn't mind that Merge, how awesome would that be to own Google stock at an employee discounted price. NICE!!!

Didn't Alltel just go bankrupt not that long ago and get bought by investors? Dosn't make sense. I hate you

No alltel did not go bankrupt. Alltel has posted good numbers for the last four years. What happened is an investment firm liked their progress and decided to buy the company.. you know as a good investment.
