I don't get it. Well I do...there trying to make money.

But if your ARPU is $60 or so why would u make your most anticipated phone available to high end customers only?

😳 😳 😳 😳

Let me lay it out. They are trying to bolster the customer experience by ensuring they have everything they need to take advantage of all the features on the phone.

If you were to get a regular Powerpack Plan this is what your monthly pricing would look like:

PowerPack 450 anytime 7PM N&W $39.99
Power Vision Pro Pack
(Unlimited Text, Web, Nav, TV) $30.00
Total MRC: $69.99

PowerPack 900 anytime 7PM N&W $59.99
Power Vision Pro Pack
(Unlimited Text, Web, Nav, TV) $30.00
Total MRC: $89.99

PowerPack 1350 anytime 7PM N&W $79.99
Power Vision Pro Pack
(Unlimited Text, Web, Nav, TV) $30.00
Total MRC: $109.99

Now look at the Everything Plans (Which all include Unlimited Text, Web, Nav, & TV)

Everything 450 anytime 7PM N&W ...

This is the type of press thats leaking and its not correct. Please see my previous post...

From The Boy Genius Report:
"Great job, Sprint. Lest you go overboard with the progress here, we’ve just been shocked back into reality with this one. The recently introduced Samsung Instinct is a great looking handset, and should help Sprint as they scramble to regain a bit of the market share they’ve been hemorrhaging over the last year or so. That being said, we think Sprint is making a pretty big mistake with the way in which they’re making the Instinct available to customers. In order to use the Instinct on the Sprint network, customers will be required to sign up for the provider’s Simply Unlimited plan. While the Unlimit...

2 points here:

1. The iPhone has phone-specific plans, and not that many people shied away from it.

2. What about people that are on a shared minute plan? can they not add the pro pack to it just like the $25 or higher for current PDA purchases?

Also, the PRO pack does include Navigation for whoever it was that said otherwise.

I would Imagine that you could just put it on a plan with a pro pack. Because smart phones now are technically required to be activated on the everything plans but they work fine with the Pro Pack you just lose your Mail In Rebate.

If not, the Everything plans have a sharing feature... albeit not a great one.

They are not required to get the unlimited everything plan. It is recommend it they want to use the phone at full value. The lowest everything plan is 49.99 without the data plan. I don't see why someone would by the phone and not use the data services. They are still able to send a recieve picture mail which uses the internet but if they don't watch tv, read the news or download items to their phone they wont have a problem get the everything 450 for 49.99.

that 49.99 you speak of is not an everything plan.

The lowest everything plan is 69.99 for 450 minutes, and unlimited text, web, tv, radio, navigation, etc...

KMS is the bible to sprint and that is what every one goes by. Just like sprint says that a customer can not have a discount with the simply everything plans but that only goes for the unlimited 99.99 and 89.99 plans.

No KMS is your Bible... and hopefully you are not telling customers that, because if you have a smartdevice that requires an Everything plan it requires an "Everything" plan not a "Talk/Message/Direct Connect" Plan.

For your info, I haven't changed any ones plan to the simply everything plan unless they ask for it. I work in the retentions department and everyone should be using KMS. I work on saving the customer because the simply everything plans aren't really a big deal. I hope you weren't trying to get an attitude with your comment because I don't take kindly to other reps trying to tell me how to do my job. Most customers I talk to don't have a smart device. Just in case you didn't notice.

I know.
Man I wish I worked in the call centers so I too could be a bastion of wisdom raining consistent assistance and positive outlook on our customers.

And maybe, just maybe, if I was really lucky I could work at a third party Call Center like TPUSA so I could get paid $7/hr to do what real Sprint representatives get paid $10/hr to do.

And perhaps if I read enough into my Sprint Bible and prayed hard enough to the Patron Saint of Cellular I would get my Retention bonus.

.
But more than likely I would just troll PhoneScoop forums with inaccurate information and try to start fights in text with people hundreds of miles away.

If that what you want to do. I just told you were I got my information from, so as far as inaccurate, ummm no. Starting a fight, umm no, we are two people who are have a disagreement. If you think that's starting a fight, boy are you in for a rude awakening. I actually don't work for a third party but an actually sprint call center that makes more than that 10.00 your talking about. (not to brag.

Just like sprint says that a customer can not have a discount with the simply everything plans but that only goes for the unlimited 99.99 and 89.99 plans.

Right, the Simply Everything plan is one of the everything plans. It's a "every quare is a rectangle, but not every rectangle is a square" kind of thing.

I guess you can say that but we will see when the phone comes if it really requires a simply everything plan. May be just for promoting the simply everything plans and the phone. Which is a nice phone. Do you work at Sprint?

The Talk/Message/Direct Connect Plan is not considered an everything plan, it is considered a Talk/Message/Direct Connect Plan. The lowest Everything plan is $69.99. That plan is called the "Everything 450" there is also a "Everything 900" and the "Simply Everything Plan."

To get any mail in rebates on the Instinct for sure an "Everything" plan is REQUIRED. Not a "Talk/Message/Direct Connect Plan."

I know what the plans are. I'm stating that when you look in KMS under simply everything plans. The talk/message/connect plans are under the simply everything plans. I know that simply everything plans have everthing included but everyone is speculating that the phone can only be used with the simply everything 69.99 and up. We will have to see when the phone gets here. They want people to activate with those plans.
