Sprints billing is so confusing

I recently swapped out my Blackberry for a differant color. Sprint applied a 499 credit which always screws up my bill. Then they said they would deduct this 499 credit when I sent back my phone. I now have an additional 499 credit on my account so what the hell is going on, not that I mind having a 1000 credit but it always screws everything up.

I know what you mean. I've been with Sprint since October. I've been happy with the service, but every time I've added or deleted a service on my account, I always have to call CS due to a overcharge/credit on my bill. This seems to me Sprint's biggest issue. On top of that, I've given up calling CS on nights/weekends because I get someone overseas who either can't understand me, I can't understand them or we can't hear each other. Stateside CS has been great. Short wait times and I usually get the issue resolved min of 2 calls which is good for the cell phone industry.

It usually takes about a month or so for them to fix it. That's why they put the credit on there, so your account doesn't get shut off for you returning a phone. I've read severel posts about this on other forums, and have had to deal with it a couple times in store, but It usually gets resolved with in the next couple months. I don't think it should really screw anything up, besides having a huge credit on your account 🙂

Okay what happened was that you wanted to do a 30 day exchange on your phone and we were swapping the phone for you thru the mail. In order for us to process that exchange our system requires that we take an upfront payment for the price of the phone were sending out to you since you effectively have two phones one of wich you'll be mailing back to us. So what we do instead of making you actually pay that upfront (unless your credit is horrible) is we place a temp credit on your account for that ammount that stays for 30 days wich is about how long the whole process takes if you send the old phone back as soon as you get the new one. Then hopefuly if everything works out properly on next months bill you should see that we charged you 499.99 ...

I understand this although confusing I have been through it a few times. The issue this time is not only did they credit me the 499 when I returned the phone they credited me the 499 again insted of deducting so now when the 499 credit falls off I will still have a credit of 499?
