Europe and Japan have video dial. Why are we still stuck on video streaming online? where is 4G where are motion sensitive phones? where are holographic texts? Why are we so far behind?

its called supply and demand. There is no demand, so there is no supply. Plus networks can't support it here, yet.

I also concur. I mean I'm sure many of us here would love to have this but, I firmly believe we're in the minority. Americans (generally speaking) are a tad slow when it comes to adapting new technology; in comparison to some other foreign populous'. However, my guess is that as today's teens get into their early/mid 20's...the demand for this will increase substantially. I'm reading more & more about soon-to-be released phones having this feature (probably all GSM handsets) so, it's definitely creeping forward. I would love to have a handset that was capable of video calling...even though I know I'd have no one to talk to yet! 😉

not just face 2 face even though thats cool. why have picture mail why have video mail? why not just show it to them streaming while its happening. What if your missing an event? streamin video calls could capture it while its happening.

So, maybe what you're saying is....YOU don't have a need for this?! Just because I don't relate to why people would want to purchase a basic clamshell cell phone...doesn't mean I think there isn't a need for it. 😉

WCDMA and EVDV both support it, although it looks EVDV might be skipped for MiMax which would also support it. Technically Cinguliar can support it but I havn't heard if it is active or not.

Sprint should be able to do video conferencing. I was looking at some of Korea's 4th generation phones and did see the video conference.
