Has anyone heard anything about VOIP?
This might come across as a really stupid question, but I've been looking around these forums at the Sprint posting and it seems like all that anyone has to say is that Sprint doesn't understand voice services (and please don't polute this thread with Sprint voice service bashing!!!). What I'm wondering is has anyone heard about VOIP coming down the pipeline anytime soon? With the 3G network all over already and 4G en route soon, is it a forseeable outcome of the data network to have unlimited VOIP calling? Just a thought if anyone wants to speculate... This isn't based off a tip or anything.

in order to do VOIP you have to have rev a or better rev o has to great a latency.
rev a is being rolled out as we speak. and sprint has several voip solutions is the works. stuff you cannot even image, it is pretty insane!

I can't wait. The speed is going to be ridiculous, no line of sight, no dropped calls; pure digital. Sprint's VUE service will be in effect as well. WOW! I'm excited.

I see Sprint/Embarq implementing what the Europeans started years ago and now starting here w/ the VoIP to wireless hand-off for enterprise PBX subscribers. Meaning a virtual wireless office where PBX calls can be routed to handsets that have both VoIP and PCS.

Let's just say that VOIP is shortly especially with that joint venture set up. That is all that can be said at this point.
