RATE PLANS!

I don't want to make this about voice or data. This is just a voice issue in my book. What is everyone's take on Fair and Flexible becoming neither fair nor flexible?

Let's look at the past plans. $5 for 100 extra minutes on the higher end plans and $10 for 100 minutes on the lower plans. Next it was $5 for 50 minutes but fun things like nor roaming and 7pm N&W thrown in.

Now we still get fun things like 7pm N&W and no roaming, but there are fewer minutes in the bucket to begin with and the overage is $5 for 30 minutes. In a time when Sprint is adding customers in terms of 200K per quarter vs. 1.9 million at VZW, don't you think it's time to change the plans for the positive instead of taking minutes away?

I suggest making "A...

Sprint has prepaid! 🤣 Sprint has know business charging what they do, they should drop below what tmobile charges and maybe they could sign up more than tracfone.

My post wasn't an open invitation to bash Sprint. I just wanted to know if I was out in left field on that one. Leave the Sprint bashing to the VZW board.

I agree with you and disagree with you. I believe the new plans are not as great as the one before, but they are still better than anyone else for overage. $5 for 30 minutes comes out to $.20 a minute. No one can match that. T mobil has the best amount of minutes out there but they have the wrost possible data speeds and packages, there overages are the same as anyone out there $.45 a minute.

Yes, $.20/min if you use 30 minutes. 31 minutes breaks down to $.32/minute. 2 minutes is an ASTOUNDING $2.50/minute and 10 minutes is an almost equally astounding $.50/minute. At least before I knew if I went over by a minute or 2 I could yak it up for almost another hundred minutes.

Good point. You still have 30 minutes.

Its still way better than the other carriers for the reason being is that you only need to talk for 11 minutes before you break below that $.45 mark. The same 11 minutes cost you $5 anyway, and with the flexible you have another 19 minutes that you paid for whereas the other carriers are still charging you for them.

But it really isn't a secret that companies make money on the underages and on the overages of their customers. Sprint isn't exempt and for marketing purposes, its good. I think when the tier level was at 100 minutes they were losing money as the $.05 a minutes average was lower than some of the lower end rate plans.

somebody shoot that bird. There are only 44640 minutes in a month that is ridiculous, to even consider that there might be a 1,000,000 minute plan every knows Sprint is going to be releasing the 3 way call super plan. 89280 minutes for 199.99/month!

i heard Sprint was launching a plan in late December that allows our customers to dial a phone#, and instead of connecting to the other persons phone, they will actually be transported to the current location of that other phone. pretty damn cool.

the plan will cost $24000/month, and requires a 10 year agreement.

Sprint plans on launching the new Samsung A1000 Transporter in conjunction with the new plan.

ps: i am so damn serious it hurts.

Nice one, although there are no new about upcoming holiday plans yet, that also depends on the market, there could be specials in different states and not throughout the country 😕
