Not sure why?? However you do have the option of paying the walk in fee of $15-$35-$55 to fix your phone if you don't want to deal with the manufacturer. After you have paid the service fee you can add Service and Repair to your plan for $3 a month.

permerger warentee exchange policy and post merger esrp both have there advantages. rember warentee exchange only covereed manufactures defect not normal wear and tear type of stuff. but weather you perfered one or the other the reality is that sprint still has the best equipment suport in the industry.

Sprint has offered TEP and ESRP. TEP ( Total Equipment Program, Extended Service Repair Program) to help their customers on manufacture defects and other non manufacture defects. TEP gets Sprints customers fully covered with insurance and extended warranty" insurance-wet, lost/stolen, and tampering..extended warranty- manufacture warranty, LCD broken, phone in 2 parts, etc. It's not Sprint's or the consumers fault that the manufacture made a lemon. Therefore Sprint should have given you a choice of replacing the phone for a fee of up to $55, and added the ESRP on your new phone, or gave the customer the choice to go through the manufacture. It all boils down to the agreements that have been made between the manufacture and Sprint. In order f...

There's a one year manufacture warranty. Sprint is a wireless provider, not the phone manufacture. Sprint is in the business for providing service for the phones, not in the business for making phones. Samsung, Moto, Sanyo, Nokia, etc. are in the business to manufacture phones. It's like taking your tv to the cable company, and informing your cable company your tv is broken. Most likely your cable company will send you to a tv repair center to have the tv fixed for a fee or direct you to the manufacture. Pretty much the same situation.

Sprint is able to send a recon phone from their warehouse to their customers. That option should be given to the customer if the customer agrees to pay a fee up to $55. Sprint did change their warranty policy due to Sprint and manufacture agreements when Sprint and Nextel united. Sprint learned better business tactics (profit) from Nextel. Nextel had the least amount of churn and was very profitable at the time.
