I currently have a 5600 which has some really nice features to it. I was thinking of getting a 9000. What the differences between the two. Small or large detail, I don't care because sometimes that makes a big difference. Also, I keep reading of MP3 player controls on the outside. I haven't seen any but adjusting the volume for the side keys. Can you set of the side keys for play/pause and next track controls. Also, does the TALK key actually bring up the Redial list? If so then Finally. Please respond because I haven't go to play with a 9000 because they are so rare to find anymore. Also I keep hearing that the Sanyo 9000 will also take a 2 GB mini SD card. Wondering if that was true or if anybody has tried that yet. Well anyway, any help w...

I understand the Sanyo MM-9000 is discontinued.. So was my Sanyo MM-5600 when I bought it. But that's beside the point. I love my 5600 but I need more internal memory. I take good care of my phones and not a single one of them have broke on me yet. I just need to know the differences between the two for who has ever owned them both. So far even with the Samsung A900 and the Fusic. My 5600 still eats them both alive. The best non-PDA phone I think I have ever owned is the 5600 and I guessing the 9000 is a better phone. I would just like to know the differences small or big. Thank you.. Tommy

But I have messed with the 9000 Before It is pretty much the 8300 with the sd card. Some of the features that you were looking for, I am postive it doesn't have, At the end of the day it is only thing that seperates it from the 5600 is the power vision and the camera with the light. If you are looking for something with the expandable memory i would go with a samsung 920 because it doesn't have a cap on the type of memory card it takes like the fusic.

Where are you getting your info from? The 8300 doesn't have MP3 player, nor controls on the outside, EV-DO, 1.3 mp camera, QVGA display. The 9000 has 9 times the amount of internal memory, and supports PictBridge. The 8300 is not comparable to the 9000. The 9000 is the best phone I've used to date.

Having both the Samsung A920 and the FUSIC, I can assure you that the FUSIC does not a have a cap on the amount of memory on the transflash card. Please, do not post without having your facts straight, it confuses people.

The fusic caps at 2 gb. and when comparing the phone i was only using the main features of all sanyo phones and not the new vision stuff. take off the power vision from the phone all you have is a clunky 8300 that will piss someone off once they realize that they would have rather had bluetooth and a expansion slot instead of readylink and a expansion slot.

Ok, they don't make a transflash card higher than 2gb, so I'd like to know where you are getting your info on this?

Sanyo 9000=Sanyo 5600 with EVDO and more internal memory and a blue front.

Neither phone is anywhere NEAR comparable to an 8300, whoever is saying that needs a boot to the head.

Get the 9000, youll be very happy with it, who cares if it isnt on the list for replacment, you dont buy something based on it breaking, you buy something because you know its quality and you hope it WONT break.

I actually had both for a short period of time... I got the 5600 with a New Line, it was defective 😢 and took it back, they replaced it with a 9000 after a month of going back and forth. Then in Jan. I bought the PPC-6700 and sold my 9000 to the Store Manager... she later LOST IT!! 😈

I really liked the 9000, as for the 5600 I never even got to use it..
