still need help!!!!!!!!!!! please!!!! before i cancel.... !!!!

ok i took my phone to the sprint repair center and they did an udate to the software and a prl update.the phone was good for a few days now its back to droped calls and broken up calls.they say they wont replace it untill the tech.finds something wrong with it,wich i do understand.but i need this problem fixed too!!!!!please help. thanx in advance

I am having a hard time understanding what you want. Problems like that are hard to fix because you really can'y prove anything to the tech, but you are having a problem. Keep going back, eventually they will replace it for you.

Well, I would keep going back there, but now call up the technical support to report the network problem and see if they will respond. Remember, do not mention in door problems. I would probably do five or six. If they do not tell, you the problem in a few weeks just pay the ETF and leave or go to Nextel’s side of things perhaps that is better for you.

Or a phone with an insane failure rate that Verizon won't replace either. And you get to pay double each month to own a piece of junk.

i will keep going back and i will tell them about a trouble ticket.
can any one tell me who is the carrier that has the strongest reception in this area. buffalo ny rochester ny syracuse ny because i had this problem with cincular too.i just want a phone that i can talk on without all thies problems and all the drama.

Honestly I don't know what to recomend for you, the company I work for has a large office in rochester and we ONLY sponsor Sprint and Cingular phones, all the other companies have been dropped because they do not offer the best coverage and value to their customers

Have you checked your PRL on your phone? And made sure the software up to date? What phone do you have? hopefully not the Treo.

Have we looked for an intermittent antenna connection? Some phones have an antenna connection that can get oxidation on it and not maintain consistent connection.

Verizon is the best no doubt. I have been places where I get no bars it just shows Verizon Wireless and still have crystal clear calls. Try doing that with a PCS(1900mhz)phone!!! I have a Samsung a950 v cast. I have had both Cingular and Sprint and understand your problem. All PCS phones suck(unless you have full bars). As a fact the 1900mhz band also know as PCS has the shortest range of all of the bands. I went to cingular with the knowledge that they operated on the 850mhz band. Come to find out(i am located in Atlanta) that they are deploying there "New Cingular Wireless PCS Towers" in major cities. Verizon uses the 850mhz band which is the long reaching digital band out there right now. There will be a 450mhz band coming within the deca...

do you have 850Mhz Digital? my experiance has been in those out of the way places the call quality is so bad that you can't hear anything. I could be wrong. Coverage yes, but call quality sucks.

clearly the call quality on either band that verizon is using in any given area does not have bad call quality, becuase if that was the case they would not have the lowest churn rate in the industry and they would not be able to say they have the nations best and most reliable wireless network.

somewhere, there is someone complaining. different places have different call qualities on different carriers. this is a pointless argument unless you get two people in the same zip code. and even then, hardware issues come into play. this is a pointless arguments, as there is no proof for either sides claims. except cingular. ok, im half kidding about that one.

i got to agree with mobile trojan on this one.. it's very difficult to satisfy more than 30 million customers... I personally hated sprint/nextel at one point but am now pondering getting one of them based on the free incoming plan.

I am so glad there are actually people on here who make sense.

Cellular service DOES depend on where the person lives....

Verizon would definitely be better in certain areas, whereas Sprint will be better in other areas

I'm glad all you guys are so happy with Verizon service, but dearies..not everyone will be.

Not happy with Verizon? Hmm. Have you checked out the quarterly reports and the previous year reports? Best in Churn and in total net post-paid additions for quite a long time.

Then why is Sprint's network rated better for fewer dropped calls, voice quality and blocked calls by Telephia? And this in Verizon's strongest market.

I live in Columbus, GA. and was told by a Verizon rep that Sprint had the best service in ATL. Besides, VZW is EXPENSIVE!

Really!! Do they have to sign a contract stating if they say anything positive about a competitor's service they will be terminated?? That is just awful!!! 😲
