well i dont know about verizons plan ..but for sprint it is as follows
for 2200 min and the 5 lines it would be about $125 before tax of course (thats $110 for the plan then lines 3-5 are an extra $10each)
...now that would also include no roaming charges, nights at 9pm, long distance calling, and mobile to mobile calling (which is for calling any sprint or nextel phone)
you could also get a 3000 min plan that would be about $165 including same as above.

Price wise the 2100 is the same 3000 is cheaper with sprint but you should try each out for youself in you area, to see which is better i'm in phoenix, and verizon is great here. my sister has sprint because she has unlimited texting. but if you know a lot of people on verizon then we can give you the unlimited texting/pixing plan to vzw customers.

Prices are pretty comparable, what the above poster said is pretty accurate. Verizon Wireless does operate the nations most reliable wireless network and also consistantly ranks at the top or second in customer service in every region, thats something to keep in mind aswell.

prices appear comparable, but are they really? Alot of 5 line plans go over minutes.......lets say you go over 200 minutes on either plan.....Verizon will charge you an extra 50.00 on top of the 180.00 on the 3k minute plan, where Sprint's overage will only be 20.00 with the 5.00/50 minute fair flex. Then let's look at taxes and fees....Not SURE what Verizon's would be, but, I do know this: their brochure in our market says " fees and other charges CAN RANGE from 8% to 28% of your plan cost". (or something to that effect i don't happen to have a brochure in front of me). Sprint is usually 9% in my market like clockwork. Let's take the 9-28%, meet it in the middle at 18.5%. You have a 180.00 plan, plus 50.00 in overages x 18.5% = 272.55. Lets...

you forgot to mention that the fair and fexible plans dont include mobile to mobile meaning that talking to eachother is using your minutes, you also must of accidently failed to mention that every time you use the "fair and flexible" 50 for 5 you sign a new 1 year contract.
lastly vzw has plenty of ways you can keep track of your minutes such as #min from the handset, airtime free. or my account at vzw.com and if you you are going over your minutes you can call customer care and up your minutes to the next plan up, then backdate to avoid overage charges.
oh and lets not forgot, the main reason to have a family share plan is to be intouch with your kids etc and the network is key, not going to bash sprints network its adequite, but...

Fair and Flexible Family plans DO include mobile to mobile minutes and that is to any Sprint or Nextel customer.
And what are you talking about "using the fair and flexible 50 for 5 you sign a new 1 year agreement. Sprint doesn't renew your contract for utilizing what the plan is meant for.

That includes unlimited night and weekends after 9pm, unlimited mobile to mobile and no roaming charges. A two year agreement is required for this plan. Also for an extra $5 you can get 7pm nights or for an extra $10 6pm nights.

Just to clarify any misinformation. Sprint doesn't renew customers contracts everything they go over their minutes and pay 5 dollars for an extra 50 minutes. That is almost the most ridiculous thing I have heard. And they do offer mobile to mobile FREE with family plans.

the only time you re-sign an agreement with the fair and flexible is when you change the plan. you do not have to renew your agreement everytime you dip into the 50/$5 on the fair and flexible. that is why you sign a two year agreement for that. the only time you ever sign a one year agreement for sprint is if you are on one of their older plans that are not fair and flexible, and those are not available anymore, only for existing customers who are grandfathered into one of those plans.

Sprint will be the best priced in that plan set. Depending on where you live will determine whose coverage is more dependable. If data is important, DEFINITELY Sprint!
