Ummm..do I dare say...Should I switch from Sprint?

** Posting Under All Carries for Full Input **

My Sprint PCS Plan is:

$95.00 (after all taxes...etc)
2000 anytime minutes
2 Lines share the minutes w/ all options below
Unlimited PCS to PCS Calling
PCS Vision Premium Pack
Picture Pack
100 Text Messages
Nationwide Long Distance Although Roaming if Added is $5.00 Extra

So here is my dilemma and what I want:

1) I want two new phones and am not impressed with the phones that Sprint offers and they will at this point in time only give me a $75.00 credit for each line.

2) Am moving to Colorado and have read that Sprint does not rate as high as other carriers.

3)HATE SPRINT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I ALWAYS WAIT ON HOLD FOR AT LEAST 20 MINUTES

4) Have not been able to use my p...

Check T-Mobile, I don't know how their reception is in CO, but they came second to Verizon in Consumer Reports for 05. They have great rate plans, Verizon is costly! Check it out.

I did and Family Plans start out at $59.99 (only 700 minutes). I wasn't sure if they would throw in messaging or web for free - anyone know if they will?

T-Mobile does pretty well in CO.

As someone said, 2nd to verizon, I believe that is correct (I used to work for T-Mobile).

Well, it's different for everyone really as far as cost. I switched to Sprint from T-Mobile because I get better service with Sprint, and although my rate plan is about $140/mo for 2 phones (but I have a lot of extras), minute-wise it made more sence for me due to friends/family/business contacts having Sprint, and also that I can get nights that start at 6pm...that makes a huge difference for me.

I carried T-Mobile for about 2 years, and honestly it was not at all bad. Call quality was always very good, and I got service in most places I went to (with the exception of my house). Let's just say it worked when ...

man, nobody will give you a plan like you got now. even sprint doesn't offer that plan anymore. no company will give you free web or text messaging, only your plan has that. I would suggest that you try a new phone, if that doesn't work, then ditch sprint(just be prepared to pay at least $40 more a month for a comparible plan)

Try using your Sprint phone in Colorodo and see how it works out.

I don't know why it's different for you, but I never had to wait even 10 minutes for a rep.

The two year upgrade policy is not much different than most other providers (T-Mobile is an excpetion).

No one will even come close to how great a plan you have so you're taking a big hit if you're switching. The no-roaming feature is only $5 per month.

If it turns out that your coverage is great where you are, you may not be so inclined to switch out.

As for the issue with your phone, I know how frustrating stuff like this is. For no apparent reason, my Power Vision has stopped working and even after plan changes and re-provisioning, it still doesn't work. I'm still stru...

Well, Even T-Mobile now has the option of 2 year contracts, though they are not a requirement. They just give you different pricing on phones, similar to verizon.

I don't know if I would go the route of making something up with your phone to get it replaced, I've been hearing Sprint has been changing the way they do things with their equipment and warranties. That possibly may make you have to go through the phones manufacturer if you do not have ERP. Going through the manufacturer is a pain in the butt. However, I do not know this for sure.

That's one good thing about T-Mobile and Verizon, too. Although you have to pay for shipping now I understand, if anything happens to your phone and it is covered under warranty (no liquid or phy...

why dont you just port your # to nextel? you wont have to pay a cancel fee or an activation fee and the plans are the same. Maybe the service will be better with nextel?
