I dont want to sound cheap, but I lost my phone and I dont want to spend the crazy prices it cost to buy a new one. Is there anyone that has a sprint phone laying around that they are planning on throwing away that I can maybe have.

thank you.

I don't but have you tried yard sales? Or you could even try E-bay. They might not be as high as you think if you stick with the lower-end models.

ebay is where i send most of my customers if they need a cheap phone and aren't eligible for a rebate, another option is find a store that sells used phones, they are normally fairly cheap if you can find the right model.

when i say used, i mean it would probably be a 14 day return. so not what most would consider used, and it has to be in perfect condition.

You know, I bought insurance for my phone and I'm starting to think it's not even worth it. I have the MM-8300 which is $280 online. The insurance is $6/month which comes out to $144 over 24 months. Add on the $50 deductible makes it $194. So you're paying $194 for the ability to save $86 in the rare occasion that you may need to use the insurance. I can understand it maybe on a $500 phone, but on regular handsets, I'm thinking I'd rather keep my money.

There is another insurance for mobile phones called MobileProTech (https://www.mobileprotech.com/index.cfm). Looks to be pretty interesting and that's something I may consider. I haven't ran into anyone that's actually filed a claim which is why I'm a bit reluctant to try it.
