Can Sprint provide a better plan then my Verizon one?

Cellenator

Sep 1, 2005, 2:04 PM
I'm on Verizon family plan.

2 Lines 1400 mins for 89.99
Nights and weekends
Unlimited 'IN' calling
National Long distance both lines

I find myself using most all my minutes.

What can Sprint offer me now? 🙂 Thank you

Ooooh, a customer using his phone a whole hour and 27 mins a day...What is the big deal over that?? Out of 11 hours, he only uses it an hour and half?? Seems pretty good to me, see and hear alot more people who talk alot longer then that in a day. Stay with Verizon I say...At least then you know your phone will be able to handle those "long" 87 mins phone calls...

Since no one else seems to help you, loll, I will try to.

Since you did not give the zip code it is a little bit difficult, but I will try to give you from Nextel’s side and from sprint’s side.

Nextel

You can get two separately 700 min plans for fair and flex and that is $50 each so times two= $100 per month.
You can add $10 extra per month for unlimited direct connect to talk to your other person. Add another $5/month mobile to mobile so that is a total of $115/month. Or its $110 without mobile to mobile

Team shared plans= two lines 1200 mins= $89.99 per month. Add $15 for both mobile-to-mobile and unlimited direct connect= $105.

Sprint

Two fair and flex plans= $50 per month times two plans= $100. $50 dollars per month...

Actually according to the plans I posted he would be better off on the $69.99 Fair & Flexable for Families.

It's 0-800 Minutes for $69.99 per month.

Minute usuage between 801-1200 in $5 for every 100 minutes and usuage from 1201-2000 minutes is $5 for every 200 minutes.

So it Breaks down like this.

0-800 Minutes of Usage = $69.99
900 Minutes of Usage = $74.99
1000 Minutes of Usage = $79.99
1100 Minutes of Usage = $84.99
1200 Minutes of Usage = $89.99
1400 Minutes of Usage = $94.99
1600 Minutes of Usage = $99.99
1800 Minutes of Usage = $104.99
2000 Minutes of Usage = $109.99
The plan also includes, at no additional charge:

No Roaming
Unlimited Mobile to Mobile
Unlimited Nights & Weekends (Starting at 9pm)

it seems like the verizon is the better deal but it just depends where you are becuase reception will vary. i mean if you get mobile to mobile you get a chance to talk to both sprint and nextel people for free (well for the $5 per month).

Sprints Family plan is 2 phones, 800 anytime minutes, no roaming, unlimited N&W and unlimited M2M to Sprint and Nextel Customers for $70. Then you get $5 for every hundred minutes you go over the 800. So for $90 you would get 1200 minutes.

Oddly Enough, it looks like you have done your research. That is the only plan I have found that has a price better than sprint.

It's only about $5 per month better, under these conditions:

If you use Exactly 1301-1400 Every Month
You get No Corperate Discount from Sprint
You Never Ever go over your minutes
You like having Unlimited Nights at 9pm

If you use less minutes or more minutes than that the Family shareFair and Flexible America 800 plan is better

Because He didn't ASK about coverage, and He is ALREADY ON Verizon Wireless!

Thats all Verizon Wireless has going for them anyways is "Coverage Area".

I like Sprint PCS myself. Been with them for 5 years! Coverage in my area is SUPERB! My plan is Cheaper than ANY Nation Carrier. and Sprint doesn't ut limits on what I can do with my phone or service. I am not forced to buy my downloads from them, and I am not charged my minutes for browsing the web on my phone.

Just remember as sprint spends the next cpl years trying to figure out how to combine a iden and a cdma our network will only get bigger and better with cheaper rate plans. att wireless was a horible company. not sure if you realized this but they have been losing customers before and after the merger. they forced migration between the two companies and the subscribers by making them pay upgrade fees. lol. dont compare cingular to verizon or to sprint for that matter.

they have 47.4 ok? sprint has about 43 million and growing rapidly. they have plans to go to 3g and then 4g , verizon doesnt.

verizon doesnt have the largest most reliable network if you combine sprint and nextel's network and assets and towers.

Verizon's TRUE network look about like Sprint's does.

And about the roaming.. ummm dude, phone do roam in digital too. but the majority of the time, wereever thier is a digital signal to be found, their is a Sprint signal thier too. A lot of that "Analog" roaming area your talking about is Verizon's.. LoL

their plans are from 1x to ev-do. Of course, that is increasing speeds. Do you even know what 3g and 4g are? By the way, they are not upgrading to ev-dv because qualcomm is shutting that down. No need to have data and voice because ev-do rev a already has voip on it.

yes, nextel and motorola have agreed on a 3 year agreement until december 31st 2007. there are options to increase it, but i dont think that would be needed, unless they want to use nextel for push to talk centric users.

i dont think they will stop, becuase that isnt their plan. as you know nextel will continue to operate well into the 2010 time frame. they will start to , however, migrate spectrum and towers (some) over to cdma.

It isn't as simple as that.

FICO scores are just one credit model widely used in the industry, including auto and mortgage finance.

Different companies use their own credit models to determine their credit granting status. Wireless carriers may approve one person with a 500 FICO score and require a deposit of a different person with a 500 FICO score. For instance, many carriers do not look at negative items older than a few years, whereas those items stay on your credit and effect your FICO score for 7 to 10 years. Many carriers do not care about paid collections whereas that will effect your FICO score.
