Sprint still buying contracts?

Jun 23, 2011, 6:00 PM
I called customer service but the girl didn't seem to know (she would answer my questions with "i think") so figured I should check with the pro's here.

I have 2 lines with VZW....the ETF's total around 250-300....i know sprint was running a promo to buyout that still going on?

also, what is the etf for sprint smartphones?

how often do the primary and secondary lines able to get new phones at discounted prices?

thanks everyone,

I dont know about the port in credit deal have to look, ETF starts at $200 for all phones and is prorated. If you have a plan ind starting $89.99 or more or share plan of $169.99 or more then the primary gets 1 yr upgrades, 2nd lines are normal 22 month upgrades

I believe that sprint offerED a bill credit if you switched from another carrier and switched to a smartphone. The credit would go towards the sprint bill not the buyout of another carrier. but then at that point you would be paying off the previous carrier.

we have port in credits that run until july $125.00 for smart phones. you have to register within 72 hours from when the # ports to sprint, on this website to get the port in credit, the line must be active for 61 days before you get the credit. Hope this answers your question

If i buy 2 phones on ebay can I just go month to month with sprint? Is there an activation fee? (I know I wouldn't be able to get the service credit for transferring service)

Also, if I am unhappy can I just port my number back to VZW or is there a fee?

Finally, how is the coverage compared to VZW...i checked the map but it never looks different lol

thanks folks for your insights....we appreciate it

you have 30 days to decide. buying phones on ebay wont help you. there are no month to month plans and you would have an activation fee for signing up. the coverage should be similar but you really wont know unless you try it.
