In the news release about the commercial... he explains how VZW and Tmobile openly throttle users after a certain limit and ATT doesn't limit you, they charge you out the yazoo for the service.
Sure enough, VZW and Tmob do this openly and it's part of the contract you sign with them...

Great commercial. Reminded me of a Samurai sword... Sharp, swift, and deadly.

He forgot to mention about that extra fee for smartphones.

Since he didn't quote a particular rate plan there is no need to discuss the $10 smart phone fee.

Ahh, good point, sir.

Whoever does marketing for Sprint deserves a bonus, after this and the massive overage income sprint received after customers failed to realize that the Everything Data commercial failed to inform them about landline calls.

Not saying that Hesse should've mentioned it; it's good advertising.

It's my belief that Sprint didn't want to start the next round of price wars which is why the $69.99 plan is only unlimited to wireless numbers. My wife insists on keeping sprint and uses about 20 minutes to landlines per month. I on the other hand have switched to Metro and couldn't be happier.

Metro does sound like a good provider... Unfortunately I'm in an area that doesn't offer that option, so I'm stuck with Sprint's prepaid plans...

$10 4g charge, even if your phone does not support it... It also stole Sprint's idea for a 4.99 surcharge.

Who cares really? Sprint just better watch what they do and say because verizon has twice the advertising budget as sprint does which in turn means if verizon wanted to put out commercials directed at sprint's customers then they would. Big dif is verizon does not choose to do so because they DON'T have to and they don't see sprint as any type of threat. I mean they could say how sprint is more like 3.5g not 4g or how picking up nextel almost put them out of business or maybe they could explain why they still only have half the customers verizon has.

Im pretty sure they got so damned big by buying other companies. (alltel most recently).. its not like they signed those 20MM customers up in the last couple of years.

Sprint bought Nextel...

Verizon's history is about 15 companies deep in mergers and buyouts.

thank you camel.

People seem to think Verizon pulled themselves up by their bootstraps... theyre the Yankees of cellular

Note: Yes sprint bought iPCS recently too.. I believe that was less than 1MM total customers

WiMax is EXACTLY the same Generation of tech as Verizon's LTE.

And I can just see how that commercial would play.

The top rated phones lol ok so sprint has some nice phones but by summer end verizon will have many more nicer(thunderbolt, bionic, droid x2, droid incredible 2, droid 3, iphone 5) phones.Whats sprint future phones? Sprint lives off the evo and thats about it. Why do you think apple did'nt let sprint have the iphone if sprint is so good? What else do they offer? How many tablets can i choose from with sprint? How good is the customer care sprint offers? Where has sprints customer care ranked in the last 5 years? If sprint is so great and offers the same things as verizon then again i ask why only half the customer base as verizon? All i hear are excuses or " verizon buys up all the smaller companys" Well sprint does to but the dif is verizon d...

Im not sure I understand why every one is making fun of the Echo. It seems like a pretty cool phone. Am I missing something?

Also, as a former Iphone customer and current non iPhone user. Android is better, who cares if Sprint gets the iPhone. lol (I mean that all in good fun.)

🤣

There is a EVO Tab coming as well... Also the Playbook 4G.
Again with the misinformed haters...
It would be rather easy for the EVO 3D to out do the Thunderbolt... The Thunderbolt is nothing more than a reworked(copy) EVO. And iPhone? 🤣 OMG only teenagers think that's the best phone...
Keep it real vercetti.

I'm curious why anyone would use Sprint's "spectrum" as a selling point for their arguement. At that MHz, I could drape a sheet over them and they'd lose signal!

Ahhh... haters are so funny.

Like one of the earlier replies to your point stated... The Verizon phones got shredded by the competition according to the CTIA. So yes Sprint's phones will be laying waste to VZW's summer line up as well.

And why would Sprint be ashamed of the Echo? It's a top of the line device that is more innovative than anything Verizon has put out in years! Verizon doesn't even release original phones anymore. They rely on copying other phones from other carriers. The Thunderbolt is just an EVO and the iphone ... well they couldn't even make it as functional as ATT's iphone.

Same generation =/= same speeds or level. How many Americans are in the same generation as Bill Gates and are no where near his wealth?
...

It would be more akin to comparing Bill Gates to Warren Buffet.

And yeah... WiMax is almost as fast as LTE and has a way better battery life.

And yes same generation means exactly what you are saying it does not mean. WiMax and LTE offer a very similar product. We are talking the difference between a Camero and a Challenger. Maybe you'd like to brush up on wireless technologies before you put your foot in your mouth again?

How did I stick my foot in my mouth by pointing out that you can pass off anything and say it's 4g but raw speed will always be the victor. When some want to save money and never leaves their area they choose sprint. Too bad more people like to leave their home areas. Next you'll probably say that sprint will have their full footprint as Wimax before Verizon has it's full let footprint. As if you are comparing apples to apples there as well.

No he didn't. It wasn't the point of the commercial. The point of the commercial is that Sprint offers unlimited Messaging and Data on ALL PHONES.
He didn't go into the pricing structure of the plans or family plans or business plans or employee plans...

Unlike most of the trolls on this forum, Dan stayed on topic.
