Question for Nextel18
I think its only avaible for Japan, you think sprint will have a phone like this in the near future?? I really like the feature which allows you to have alot of control over your phone with the flip closed. You think sprint will have some Sanyo phones comming out with this feature???
Please give me somekind of information if you have any. ☹️
remember, it might take years before it comes to the united states, oh yea, just in time before nextel/sprint deploys their REV O and REV A network. seems to be on time for a sprint release, but again it could also be for verizon.
do i think that sanyo could come out with that feature? i do belive so.
if i had to guess which one it would be on either sprint/nextel or verizon. i would say...

Sprint is doing REV O, but in 2007-2008 they are rolling out REV A with Nextel.
Verizon is doing REV O.
If you want the technical stuff go to Qualcomm's web site which is... http://www.qualcomm.com/technology/1xev-do/mi gration.html It explains what REV O and REV A are and their speeds etc..
so again, if you saw what i said... i said it would probably be out for verizon.
you need to read the WHOLLLEEEEE thing not only a selected part.

yes you did say it would probubly be out for verizon.
the origional question that was asked is would the phone be avalible threw sprint in the us.
you said probubly so you were unclear. i however have do know for a fact that sprint is under exclusive agreement with sanyo. so i posted to clear up some uncertany. i am sorry you are so insecure
by the way read it again and slowly...

Don't listen to anything Nextel tells you about the phone you saw at engadget...it's not coming to our shores. It's not compatible. Run from any opinion Nextel gives y...

the funny thing is.. you say its not coming here? well it could. you said its not compatible of course it is.
anything that is in japan could come to united states, cept it takes a long time to do so.
compatibily....
1. its on the ev-do network which sprint will be launching as well as other providers in united states. (just verizon actually)
2. as someone else on here said that sanyo is the only usa provider that can be offered to sprint.
3. it is on the CDMA network which sprint runs.
seems to be very compatible to me.
but again, you just say your stupidity with no backing up, while i do. thus; your wrong...

nextel18 said:And the Starship Enterprise could enter our atmosphere if you "tweaked" some things here and there. ANY phone can be redesigned to work anywhere. THAT phone is not compatible as is in the US. That's what she asked. And you told her it'll work here. It won't.
morning... of course it can be compatible here. they would just tweak some of the software and some of spectrum in/for the phone to make it work here.
so THAT phone would be compatible.
no that person asked if it could come here for sprint in the near or long-term future. (you need to read things better)
come on, sir, seriously read things better.
nextel18 said:Who the **** is going to "change the frequency and software"? Ronald McDonald? Stop leading her on and give her accurate information. That phone will not work in the United States...period.
that phone could be compatible in the united states. they would just change the freq and the software inside the phone so that it would be compatible with sprint's cdma network.
so THAT phone would be compatible.

In the past, Sanyo has been known to use a Japanese phone as a basis for a Sprint phone, but that is happening less frequently these days. Part of that is due to Sanyo putting ReadyLink PTT on most of its phones, which requires a large speaker. They don't have PTT in Japan, so now they usually have to do special designs just for Sprint.
I think the last Sprint phone to be based on a Sanyo Japanese phone was the 8100, which was based on the J-SA05 design:

i was just telling much drama that they would base it on that phone and things of that nature. i was saying if they would tweak some of the freq for what they use over there to that phone it could work over here. that guy anyway, (not much) was asking if those types of phones would come out in the future and i said yes, becuase that is true. most phones from asia and those countries come here, obviously they are modified but they do still come here.
again, thanks..
nextel18 said:It might be based on a Japanese design, but neither phone will work in...
thanks Rich, like always for your wonderful information. i have always learned from you, and loved your posts. (i am not sucking up, just telling the truth)

EliteSoja said:Stereo doesn't necessarily mean louder. It's higher quality, though.
Umm the W22SA has Stereo Speakerphone which is probably louder then all the Sanyo phones availble for sprint today so the Design wouldnt have to really change. They would have to add Readylink to that phone though
you do have an interesting point, but you want a speaker that isnt that loud but is very clear to hear.
EliteSoja said:Stereo speakers are not louder than mono speakers. They just give the illusion they're louder because they offer sound in more channels.
Well I bet there louder and higher quality.....think about it the speakers now are Mono and that phone has Stereo speakers. Stereo speakers are louder than Mono speakers
has this form really gone this far down hill?
stevelvl said:Gone down hill? I'm not sure I understand the metaphor. Someone brought up stereo speakers are louder than mono speakers. This simply isn't true, so I set them straight. If you don't want to hear about this type of thing, bring up something better.
wow now we have a whole thread about an argument of sterio speakers vs mono speakers.
