What is the best phone that Sprint has and why?

It obviously depends on what you want/need your phone to do. I have the Instinct S30 and I love it. Nice strong signal, GPS, good music player, and opera mini to browse the web.

For those who want the latest and greatest, the S30 isn't for them.

I think the Palm Pre is the best phone on sprint 🙂 As far as smartphones go. Amazing web browsing great multitasking. constant substantive updates (just added 3D gaming!) and the fastest overall hardware.

Yea I'm thinking of getting a Palm Pre. Watched some videos on youtube about the 3D gaming. But that darn wiggle between the slide that I hear about is such a bummer.

I've had the phone since pre-launch (before launch, no pun intended). And what little wiggle there is rarely gets noticed. It actually works as a cushon so when u do drop the phone it has some give and doesn't just break. Now i don't know if that's how palm intended it, but it does have that side effect.

From what I've heard the more recently built models are better as far as the wiggle is concerned. Mine is also from the week of launch.

I personally like the Samsung Moment. Powerful prcoessor, AMOLED Screen, expandable memory, Android, tons of Apps. Not a huge fan of the slide out keyboard but it's big and easy to get use to.

Well thats actually really good to know. LOL! Probably not what it was intended for though. Since you have the phone, one more question. I seen on youtube that the phone gets hot if you put a plastic cover on it... Is this true??

I only have mine wrapped in one of those zagg wrap around screen protectors, don't know about cases. But I know I played Need for Speed for like an hr (3D gaming FTW!), while it was plugged up (slow day at the sprint store) and the phone barely got warm to the touch. I've had no heat problems from mine. A couple ppl try to use the store demos to complain and say they are hot, but that is only cuz they sit on the touchstone charger non-stop. Any phone gets hot sitting on a charger 24/7. Did i mention it's the only Sprint phone with 3D gaming?

I'm sure that if you give the nerds enough time, that the Android Phones won't be far behind on the 3D gaming side.

But alot of the "Best" this or that does come down to preferences. Whats better: Palm, Android or Blackberry? Subjective, to say the least.

Personally, if I was on Sprint... I'd either have the Moment or the Pre. Both have solid reviews, active communities and all the capabilities one would need. I'd probably tilt to the Moment because I like Google more than Palm overall - and I'd prefer the larger keyboard.
