yea, that would be sweet. well as you know sprint is coming out with DO soon as well as REV A and REV O. i know a few phoens that are coming out for both nextel and sprint, however, i am not allowed to say for obvious reasons. all i can tell you is that you shoudl stay tune. sprint has the highiest and best data arpu and content in the industry and will continue. you will like their products. all of their phoens now are great so think of the future. it will be awesome especially with the merger!

why do you want a ev-do phone?

i know that ev has amazeingly fast data speeds. but what can your phone do that needs the amazeingly fast data speeds? the phone is still limited by its insanely slow processor and very very limited memory.

it is like putting jet fuel in your moped. yead jet fuel produces some insane speed but in your moped it does not make a difference.

the biggest way to look at it is verisons v-cast. it is no better then sprint tv. the frame rates are the same and you are still limited by the fact you are just viewing video clips. in order to get more then 17 frames per second on your pc you need more then a 700 mhz processor. how long till a phone has that power and it is affordable?

but you want ev capable phon...

if you have a DO phone you can do more things on it especially if its REV A. more speeds= more data content= more functionality= better phones.

vcast is better actually becuase its on the REV O network vs sprint's which is on the 1xrtt. i think the more content is on those Vcast programs as well as REV A and lower latency networks will come out, those TV solutions will be better.

why not have a DO phone? it is better then 1xrtt and everyone wants things that are new technologies.

did you even bother reading my post before you read it? i stated that the current chipsets on the market can not utalize the full DO speeds. they are still limited by the speeds of there processors. DO speeds...

oh i know. i understood your post i was just adding my own opinion. i said that more content the better vcast and tv solutions would be. the more speeds the better becuase there would be lower latencies which would allow more frames per second. both of those additions would make tv solutions more enjoyable.

but i agree with what you say.

Be grateful that Sanyo makes phones for Sprint. That is the ONE thing I miss about SprintPCS. I wish Sanyo would start making GSM phones.
