iPhone-like for sprint?
I want an iphone, but I'm on a family plan with sprint. So what's the most iPhone-like phone that sprint carries? I looked at the pre, but it only has 8 GB of storage, so that automatically eliminates it right off the bat. Sprint's website says the Instinct S30 can be expanded up to 32 GB (the same space as the iphone) which is an acceptable (but still small) range for me. It's lighter than the iphone (good), but thicker (bad, and that's the only size dimension I care about). I've also heard that the camera is bad and the software interface is very slow.

As far as form, the Instinct is the closest. Have you seen the Instinct HD?
But function, the Pre is closer. The Pre does have a slide out keyboard though with little tiny keys.
Whichever you get, keep in mind you will need to be on an unlimited data plan and if you're already sharing with your family, you'll most likely be offered a data share plan ($129.99 +$19.99 for lines 3-5 will get you 1500 min and $169.99+19.99 for 3-5 will get you 3000 min and of course both of these include the any mobile anytime feature that allows you to call any cell phone without using your minutes [unless you are roaming])

If your family plan is everything Data, or willing to be, Hero or Instinct HD on 11th of October. If not, Rumors of a Higher Capacity Pre have been floating around lately, mostly due to Verizons SKU for the PRE being different, but those wouldnt be until early next year if they exsist.

I would say take a look at the HERO by HTC, if storage is a main concern. The instinct HD looks to be avery nice phone as well, and the Pre isnt bad, stay away from the s30, these other devices would be a much better choice. Non of them are the same as the iphone but have their advantages over the iphone. I for one will be getting the HERO in october from the training and hands on with these devices i say the Hero is the better with the instinct HD right behind ..

If you want an amazing touch screen and a fantastic web browser then the Pre is the way to go. Your other 2 options are the Instinct HD and the Hero. as far as apps go Pre is about to launch paid apps which should really jump start their app store and the hero has a thriving app community.
