Theyre doing an official review on beta software basically.

thats his opinion of the unit he RECIEVED, which is what a review is for....take it for whatever you want, but Im sure he's not an idiot with the hundreds of phones that come to him to know if the build quality is poor or the keyboard sucks or not....and if some of the apps arent working properly, thats far from his fault...hes just reporting the problems.... he said plenty good about it too, and gave an honest review of the issues with it he saw on the unit he got.

I think people here have WAY more of a problem admitting maybe the Pre isnt going to live up to its high expectations... and taking that frustration out on honest review... the same exact way iphone fanboys do when people say negative about the iphone.

Thats his opinion of the unit he received, NOT the unit or software for sale. He may not be an idiot, but hes obviously an entertainer first, biased reviewer second, journalist third.
If you write up a blog about something, and call it "PALM PRE FIRST REVIEW", then it had better be the same experience that anyone walking in can get. Theres a reason people dont take a touch pro, stuff a cooked rom on it, then call it a "Touch Pro review".. its not, its something different entirely.

And he didnt really say anything good in it, he said "Universal Search worked Okay. We guess."
The reason it didnt farking work like they wanted it to, is BECAUSE THEY DIDNT SYNC ANYTHING TO THE DAMN THING through synergy. No facebook, no gmail, no EAS, no pe...

i agree with some of what bgr said. i'm a blackberry user and even though i sold the iphone for a few years i didn't own one. the pre does bring a lot to the table and i'm hoping it catches on. i don't know if it will be the hype of iphone or even the storm but no one can blame them if they are third...

Had you posted the review with a simple FYI, as even the sometimes hated Cellenator does, without your unnecessary opinion (which we all know), it would have been a different story.

Listen, I agree with you, but this is a phone forum. You have to expect good and bad. This guy actually posted a relivant link from a 3rd party site. Yes it's negative, but it's also informative. I know you're still somewhat new to this forum, but trust me, there have been much worse post here.

Now I don't care for boygenius much, but I have a Pre and I don't really care for it much. I am going to say I'm one of the people that's kinda pissed this phone is coming. I don't believe it's going to be as bad as that touchscreen blackberry, but perhaps close.
