Had a customer with a Blackberry Curve today tell me that they just had to pay a $100 deductible to get their phone replaced. I called Asurion and sure enough the deductible on Sprint high end phones went up April 19th. I work for a private dealer and we were never told about this. I also have a Blackberry Curve with insurance and never received notification. Dealer support told me everyone was mailed a letter.
Suggestion to Sprint: Get out of the stone age and send people a text message to let them know about the change. If they have a high end device, chances are they have text messaging on their plan!

Or you and other ignorant people could check their mail. Surely someone that works for your private dealer got the letter? You all have Sprint right? Texting isn't the answer, not everyone has that feature regardless of the phone and assuming they do is just stupid. Everyone gets their bill though.

Not to mention that he WORKS FOR A DEALER. This a complaint for your idiot bosses, not Sprint, cuz pretty much every customer i've talked to got an insert with their bill and was already aware of it.
...
This is correct... There was definatly a bill insert sent out and it is not something that will be letting you out of contract. the reason for not letting you out of contract this was not a contractual change. It is basically for your higher end phones(teir 2) there was an asurion list floating around the forum from the Asurion site. i think it was titled Palm Pre on Asurion phone list or something. This will give you a full list of the different teirs.

not only did i get an insert, I got a packet in the mail stating EVERY Sprint phone and the deducatable...Everyone was made aware!

If i rememeber correctly, this is something that Asurion decided to change, not Sprint itself. If you notice on the letters, they were mailed out thru Asurion. Some got them thru e-mail but most letters. On a side note, I ordered a replacement phone thru PhoneClaim.com and was charged $50 on my bill for the Touch Pro. Not sure if it was luck or maybe my Corporate Advantage plan, but it seems like its still $50 on the website? cant speak for everyone but it was weird...
