Does anyone know if the Pre will be compatible with the sero plan or will you have to be on an everything plan?

No, you will have to have one of the three Sprint Everything Data Plans or three Family Shared Everything Data ones.

You spout off misinformation yet again Kayslay34. When will you double check your information BEFORE posting your threads? The Palm Pre, like the Samsung Instinct requires an Everything Data Plan. During a brief Q&A session at CES 2009, this fact had been stated. Please stop giving erroneous information. Thank you.

Well, unfortunatly, you are incorrect. The Instict can be put on the Everything Plus┞¢ Referral Program because it is the Simply Everything Plan without unlimited minutes. The Palm Pre will follow the same suit it they put restrictions on it like the Instinct. AND AGAIN, no one really knows for sure because there is no documentation on this device yet.

YOU SIR ARE A IDIOT...... how do you think employees and their family members have instincts, you need to stop spouting your bull$#^@. For employee accounts you can have any phone on a SERO PLAN OR A EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PLUS...

I will have to say that I did Employee Accounts for a while (not anymore), but when the Instinct came out there was a big mess because the legacy SERO did not work with that device. Then emerged the Everything Plus. So I dare say that the Pre will follow and be allowed on the Everything Plus. But I will not say that is concrete because I don't know. But I have researched it and I have found stated that if the plan supports the Instinct it will support the Pre. If that helps....at all.

I can tell you NO, the SERO will not work with the PRE. The phone will only work with current everything data plans or with the Everything Plus Referral plan. The old plans were based on phones that had limited ability to access data so they were understandable lower but the pre and many new phones that are high data users cost Sprint more so unfortunately they will cost more. If you want the everything plus referral plans you will need to know an employee and they can give you the website.

Unofficial, but...

A few weeks back we heard that Sprint was expected to start training their customer service reps on the Palm Pre. It appears that leaked training docs related to the Palm Pre have found their way to the Internet courtesy of Inside Sprint Now.

Most of the documentation appears to be in line with everything we currently know about the Palm Pre, but here are a few notable points made by the unofficial blogger.
Customers Must Switch to Everything Plan

There are three categories of service plans for this phone—individual, shared, and pooled plans. Some of these plans are existing and some of them are new. In short, the device will require either a Simply Everything/Simply Everything Data Pl...

Of course this still doesn't answer the SERO question, but oh well.
