Sprint Family Locator?
I've temporarily got it turned-on on my account. Seems pretty cool, since I've got kids on my account.
Appears that accuracy can vary greatly (10-15 yards, on the low-end - 1.5 mile radius, on the high-end).
Seems that the Centro isn't nearly as accurate as others. Is that consistent across all Centros? Or, could it be this particular one.
Rant & Instinct seem more precise.
Is this the exact same location info that E-911 would receive? Or, is this 'light-weight' variant of the GPS capabilities? (I hope E-911 gets better accuracy.)
Actually, I guess I don't know if this even uses GPS. Or, does it simply use cell tower triangulation?

and on e911 cust care told me it will be much more accurate than e911 or gps you can try it first bro its free on the 1st month and if yo satisfied its $5 for every month. 😳
The accuracy varies between 2 miles to 20 yds.
My kids figured out that tuning off the "location" on the phone decreases accuracy.
As for the centro, my kid had a fusic which
was between 20 yds and 1/2 mile. She upgraded to a centro which has never given a location better than 1/2 mile.
Maybe it's the phone or maybe I've not figured out how to turn on "location".
But the service is a great "gray hair" retardant.
If something is triggered between the network and device, what actually happens?
Does this action require some type of action/response by the device (not the user, I know that's not required)?
Does locating a device via SFL cause any drain on the device power/battery?
