Pre required unlimited plan?

Will the pre require me to get rid of the free and clear plan we have? We are a business customer and have an old Free and Clear plan. The price is too good to get rid of it...even the sprint reps say not to change it.

I dont mind adding an unlimited data plan to my plan, but I do not want to change to another plan.

If we do, I might just get the rumor2 or the new samsung touchscreen phone I saw online.

all info given at this time will only be speculation as we do not know all the details until the pre is released. at this time i have not heard anything about requiring an everything plan.

ok, just wondered cause if people were hearing you would have to change your plan, I would get a new phone now instead of waiting.

Our business plan is an old Free and Clear 6000 minute plan...its too good to change it.

i know, but its gonna suck if I cant get the phone I want because of it!

I really want a touch screen with a qwerty keypad...I know people with verizon who have an all touch screen phone and hate it.

Looks like the only one with both is the HTC phones and the Pre.

you can get the touch pro w/o a new plan you just need to get a unlimted data pack. here straight from the sprint website
"Mail-in rebate requires an Everything plan, Data Premier add-on or PRO Pack add-on."

So its only required for your MIR

No, the key word is, dont start rumors that you dont know ANYTHING about.

The correct answer is "We have absolutely no clue right now"

There is no other answer.

Its not a rumor you idiot, all the new phones that are high end that have came out for sprint have not required a simply everything plan ( touch pro, touch diamond, palm treo pro) so yes i would say that 99.9% that like these phones it wont require a simply everything plan. Only phone that requires it is the instinct, and that was done as a way for both of them to help up sell each other.... so

It was on engadget, gizmodo, etc type sites last week that the Pre will probably require an Everything plan. Their reasoning was that the data services are so integrated into every aspect of the phone that it would be a monstrous amount of overage if activated without a data plan.

If you can't change plans, the htc touch pro or treo pro might be better options for you. I like the form factor of the treo pro, though the keys are a bit smaller and it has less memory. The htc touch pro is a bit bulky for my wants. JMO, though.

so would i be able to add a data plan to my current free and clear plan or do I have to be on an unlimited plan?

If I cant...maybe I should just get a rumor 2 or wait for that samsung lucello...i dont like any of the other phones that are out.
