Just curious , with the case with that detroit mayor..
with the millions of customers and texts , does sprint save each one "REGULAR" consumers send , not ones on gov't issued phones.
I think that would be incred hard to do ...
and does that go against the 4th amendment...
just curious... i know vze does not keep any detailed info , just dates time and numbers..
thanks guys.

I have never been able to check messages sent to/from Sprint phones, If anyone does know please inform.
The only way I know is there is some 3rd party program you have to install to the phone before hand, then you get cc'd on all text in and out.
...
so like customer service does not have them in a big mahince or something lol..like word word for each text..?
out of curiousity i called csr and they said no , but hey ya never know , i think that mayor had at n t and sent like 14k message to his aid , and they found all of them...so just wondering..
thanks !

Drake, there IS a Sprint tool that allows you to check who someone has been texting. It shows the date, time, who the intended party was, and the status of it. If it was a Delivered or a Failed message...It wont show you the Message itself, but it DOES show how many characters were in the message.
...
I guess what i am asking , can sprint employees or workers ever see the detailed messages the words...? does sprint store those as a company.
...
I don't think they do. Every time I've seen investigations they can't get the actual text, just who it went to and when.
As a retail employee i can guarantee that we can't see the texts here. It would have to go through corporate security if it is possible at all.
...
Nope...Not possible to see messages itself. Its for customer privacy.
...
im pretty sure you can read them in BMG under advanced, but you have to have codes... and good luck with that

Every carrier keeps a record of EVERY message sent and recieved that included the actual written message. They stay in the system for approx 30 days before they are deleted and can no longer be retrieved. They can only be view and removed from the system with a court doscument. Employees do not have access to this system, only the Fraud/Corp Security people. So, unless you have a reason for the government to need to view your messages, you are ok.
