from what i can see on the specs of the 910 here on phonescoop, it runs gsm technology so it is completely incompatible w/ our (sprint's) network. the only possible combos for carriers that would would be tmobile or att. they're the largest carriers in the u.s. that support a gsm network. i mean there are others, they're the largest...check your area for some smaller regional gsm carriers they might be able to help you as well.

I changed from Cingular to Nextel after Katrina because that was the only service that worked in my area after the storm destroyed everything. I had been using a PDA windows mobile device for years but went to the Motorola 1-930 so i could have both a Nextel with direct connect and a phone that would allow me to install a few applications that run on windows pocket pc. After purchasing the i-930 i learned that Nextel had locked their phones so that only those approved by the carrier could be installed. I was extremely frustrated but found a way around this problem by restoring the os via a third par...

The only wireless devices that can be used with the major US wireless carriers like at&t after being unlocked are GSM ones. Very few unlocked CDMA devices are permitted for usage on Verizon Wireless and from my understanding, Sprint only allows CDMA devices that have been used on a contract service i.e. Helio, Kajeet and Virgin Mobile handsets can not be used with Sprint.

In your opinion, what is the best carrier for both phone and internet? Phone would be the primary consideration. I use my phone in the New Orleans area.
