Here you go. I didn't know it used GPS and there was a monthly fee. 😡

Seems kind of lame to me. Let's see, you can't provide me with coverage but you'll let me pay even more a month so I can get a router that uses my broadband that I'm already paying for just so I can get cellular coverage!
The executives are laughing all the way to the bank. 🤣

or.....you call in to retentions and tell them you want out of contract ETF free cuz there is no service at your house. then they give you the airave for free and no monthly charge

and t-mo does the same thing by charging you for hotspot @ home.

and when vzw has their femtocell out to market, they will charge too.

gee what is this nonsense of companies charging for services? 🙄

Hey they can charge all they want. Just lower my monthly bill by the same amount there now charging me to use my broadband connection to patch their lousy network.

then switch networks. you cant get perfect service anywhere with any carrier. so sprint was nice enough to offer you a way to have perfect reception at your house.

some people are never happy

you cant cancel your contract etf free just because you dont get service in your home. no cell phone carrier gaurantees service in any structure due to the building materials can block a signal and there is nothing we can do to troubleshoot that. plain and simple. if you are in a coverage area and you cancel, etf will apply.

Actually due to the fact everyone is doing away with land based lines the cell companies have to provide coverage in the places you travel and or visit the most ie this includes your HOME!!!! And i have helped several customers get out of contract and waived ETF because their phones didn't work in their HOMES!! And as mentioned before call into the retentions department and threaten to leave Sprint and watch them send you an AIRAVE for free and waive that monthly reoccuring fee.

In order for your Airave to function properly, you have to live within 5 miles of the nearest Sprint tower to your home, have either DSL or casble broadband service for your home internet service and a wired/wireless router.

Even if you are within 5 miles of a tower there are areas of the country where an airave will not work. I live in an area where I'm a few miles from a tower and the airave doesn't work. There are areas in Texas that is Sprint Corp territory and the airave doesn't work. Someone over at hofo is experiencing this very issue. I have an airave as account services sent me one thinking it would work here but it didn't. I talked with airave support and they said support for the airave in my area may not come for many years due to the way 911 is handled in my area. Not sure if that is BS or what but no disputing that the airave doesn't work here.

thats correct. airave has expanded throughout the U.S., but is not everywhere yet because of the stipulations that airave has.

I can tell you this. Its works very well. When I got mine from the store the rep said it was $5 per month for unlimited minutes from the airrave. Just got a call from customer service saying I went over by 1500 minutes and my bill was huge, I told them I get unlimited minutes on the airrave. They said that is a $14.99 fee and I told them thats not what the store told me, so they are crediting me the full amount every month and have taken care of the overages.
