we stopped buying water in our store months ago...this is old news, costs are being cut that should have never been there in the first place...i work for sprint and love my job, but most of the items they are cutting are pure luxury...although it feels like you need an act of congress to order simple office supplies like toner and paper.

Apply for a position with another carrier.

Go work for AT&T or Verizon. They still pay commission.

Sprint is going to continue to cut commission, pay rates, insurance, and even jobs. They are really going to cut a lot of corners because they have lost millions of customers this year, and I predict they'll lose at least another million in the 4th Quarter, which will prompt more cuts on everything.

The fact that you can't even get paper and toner to print receipts without a hassle is not a good sign.

At the rate Sprint is losing customers and financially bleeding, I can honestly see T Mobile hedging out Sprint for the number 3 seed of US wireless carriers by the end of 2010 or mid 2011 at the latest.

Patrick,

If Sprint sells off Nextel, they will be number 4. Sprint's number of customers (without Nextel and Boost) are lower than T-Mobile's but only a by a little bit. Financially, T-Mobile is much healthier because they have a parent company, DT, that funds them.

If Sprint continues to lose customers and cannot turn itself around, they will put themselves up for sale or divest several markets to become a major regional carrier.

Sprint has already said they are committed to iDEN and will not be divesting the iDEN network nor abandoning the various products and services supported by iDEN.

The latest articles I read said they would have sold off Nextel if it weren't for the credit crunch. Sprint is starting to realize that merging with Nextel was a huge mistake, one that is costing them dearly. If things don't turn around, they WILL sell Nextel. I don't care if they pledged to commit to iDEN. Money speaks louder than mere words.

I know. Everyone is cutting jobs right now. But AT&T's wireless side is healthy, whereas Sprint is not financially healthy right now. Sprint needs to turn around, or it will continue to lose.
