Where are all the phones?

Go to verizon or att! i dont know anyone with sprint anymore
Why would anyone want to spend $160 at at&t or verizon when you can pay $99 at sprint??
What people care about are cool phones, a solid network, and customer service that can problem solve while speaking a language you can UNDERSTAND....sprint provides none of those.
Not everyone is a cheap most are willing to pay more to be with a provider that doesn't hang up on you when there is a problem with your bill. Comprenda? 🤣

sprint has been bending over and giving away the farm for years, and it hasn't helped..they continue to have the highest churn in the industry.

"Cool" phones?? Pay 60 bucks a month more for a "cool" phone? I want a phone that works, does what I need, and gives me no grief. I have that with Sprint and I don't have to pay SEVEN HUNDRED AND TWENTY b...

Okay, I have to ask Mr Hesse where all of the phones are. VZ has released about 12 or 13 new phones since October and ATT has released almost 20 in the same time frame. And Sprint? Only 5? WTF? We see all of the commercials with Hesse hyping up the network but how about some more devices to take full advantage of the NOW network. How in the world does Sprint's management think they are going to come out of this rut when VZ and ATT are getting more and better devices? Am I the only one getting irritated by the poor handset selection 😡
Good question. Here's what I've been told: the reason Sprint is much slower releasing new phones than say, AT&T or Verizon, is because they require ...

The Storm and Boulder may have had a few kinks but Sprint has also had its fair share of phones with issues. It just seems like hot devices are coming to the market but Sprint does not pick them up. Their 4th quarter offering is truly pathetic. If they are going to turn things around then they are going to have to keep a steady stream of handsets at all price points to compete. They are getting slaughtered this quarter relating to handsets and I guarantee it will show when they release their 4th quarter numbers. For every phone Sprint releases, ATT and VZ gets the same model or something comparable and also 2 other choices. As long as this persists then the bleeding will continue.

The real reason is mainly money issues (or the lack of it); with VZW and ATT you have a bigger market reach than say Sprint or T-Mobile and that means bigger $$$ on sales.
Sprint doesn’t have the deep pockets to compete when bidding for new phone releases and their actual situation will only aggravate this problem; that’s why you see their dated selection(i.e. old Katanas, DLX’s, even eclipses, Rant’s, Touches', old blackberries…etc..)on their stores.
I’m pretty sure Sprint management gave a look at the Omnia, the Storm and other top of the line phones but when they saw the asking prices they couldn't get the exclusivity rights/being the first ones.

I think advertising and making the most of the current lineup will go much further than more new devices.
My post was and is not intended to put Sprint down by any means. I am just a customer who is semi-satisfied and would like to see the company perform up to its real potential. As far as VZ's lineup goes, it puts Sprint's to shame. Lets stop kidding ourselves and keep the fanboism to ourselves.
I am not a fanboy nor am I Sprint customer yet. I was with Sprint a few years ago. I've actually had service with all major carriers. Where I live Verizon, At&t, Sprint and TMobile service works just fine. I currently have Helio which is ok but I am ready to upgrade and Helio really doesn't offer anything I want to upgrade to so I would rather just switch carriers. Anyway, everyone knows that Sprint is having a tough time right now. No need to continue to post the same negative crap everyday. From what I've heard Sprint is slowly but surely getting better...that is why I said "cut em some slack". 🙂

If u cant wait, then youll still be ok with sprint, since they both use the same network and sprint has quite a few more phones. thanks gary. sales@heliobyvirginphones.com

I don't think Verizon's phone lineup is all that great. I think At&t and T-Mobile have the best phones right now. Verizon has like 3 phones that I would consider...EnV2, Voyager and Chocolate 3...that's it. Sprint's phone lineup is much better than it was last year. They are trying. Cut em some slack. Geeeez!
I agree completely. AT&T has the best line up, then T-Mobile, then Verizon, then Alltel, then Sprint.

They advertise quite a bit now and it is not helping improve their overall bottom line.
It will never get better sprint name is mud for treating people like garbage for over a decade.
How will Sprint get the money? The government? Will Sprint need to sell off all of its towers and operate as an MVNO? Sprint's options are fastly reducing, time is running out. And it is a shame. Ever since they bought Nextel, they have been doing very very poorly.
The Touch Pro is the best on Sprints network and is better then the Verizon and att Version. The Lotus is a Great phone and people love it. The rumor was on Sprint First and everyone since then has made a imitation. Verizon has also released a few duds the Storm and the Pro could have been better in my Opinion. And att releases a bunch of cheap a$$ phones. 🤣
Sprint has all the best phones first. Check the phonescoop PHONES section notice anything. Every phone ever released by Sprint has a Sprint logo. Why? Because Sprint gets them first. Now look at all the other providers who have the same phone months after Sp...

Que? Outside of Diamond, Mogul, and Centro what exactly has Sprint beat anyone to the market with? ATT bought the Curve and Pearl to the market a year before Sprint. VZ also beat you to the market with those 2 devices as well. ATT was on the Blackjack 2 before Sprint decided to bring the Ace. VZ bought the RAZR 2 and Q9 to the market before Sprint. I will take it one step further. What devices does Sprint have to compete directly against the Omnia, Storm, EV2, Voyager, Krave, Bold, Incite, Quickfire, Epix, & Duo and do not list any devices in which all three carriers have because they cancel each other out. As far as better specs goes the Tytn and Fuse from ATT are inline with the Mogul and Touchpro BU

What gets me most is that ALL companies offer a plethora of feature packed handsets. Why DO we constantly need more new phones with additional bells and whistles? 😕
The answer is- we don't! Compare any modern cellphone and its capabilities with that of one made just five years ago. If someone doesn't like THIS year's offerings, wait until next year, I ...

Well you can cry about people griping if you choose? The FACT is that Sprint has the best plans but has yet to NET 1 subscriber this year. Contrarily they have lost over 3 million. I think that handset selection has a lot to do with it. You might not care about bells and whistles or whatever but others do. And I also never complained about bells and whistles just an expanded lineup that appeals to as many customers as possible. I am not talking about what you need, I am talking about what the company needs to help it gain subscribers. And whats up with the get a life crap? Maybe you should take your own advice 🙄

you sir, are an idiot!
sure we may not have a new phone every week, but we dont need it. and frankly the other guys dont either. the US is in a recession and the rest of the world isnt much better off. so lets all focus our time and money on trivial things such as a cool new cellphone that does the EXACT same stuff that the other ones do, but this one is pink and therefore cost $50 more than the other model 🙄
its called priorities people. and cell phones shouldnt be at the top of your list as far as spending goes

I do not smoke anything, sorry. By the way, what does Forbes know about wireless devices? Another question, who is buying these devices in mass droves because last time I checked Sprint has not netted a customer in almost a year? Fanboys need not get upset. I said their selection was poor compared to the competition and I stand by that. That should not offend anyone no?
Last time I checked, Sprint has netted THOUSANDS of new customers. The problem is they've also lost a lot of the older ones in the process.
I predict they will get more of them back as businesses that have switched to Verizon and AT&T discover that having 500+ employees communicating with each other constantly all ...

Why would you find Sprint losing a big government contract amusing? 😕
If you are truly interested in seeing them succeed and bring more phones to the market, then finding out that a struggling telecom has lost yet another contract should be the last thing on your list of humorous items.
Your original post, as I suspected, was merely a ruse intended to start a flame war. By doing so, you are violating the TOU you agreed to when you joined this community. This is a disgraceful waste of everyone's time and attention to a so-called issue that you really could care les ...

I do want them to pull themselves out of their current rut. All we need is more jobs being lost or shipped overseas but it is the iDEN side that has been killing Sprint's business. I know how horrible it was and that is why I cracked a joke at your reliability statement. At some point customers get tired of people telling them that their calls will not go through or asking you who is that man who always says, "Please hold while the Nextel subscriber is located." WTF? I guess the one brightside is that you could chirp during the Hurricane Rita evacuation but that was 1 day. What about the other 364?
The main reason the iDEN subscribers have left is because they hated dealing with Sp ...
