they're closing our center. apparently proactive sales for new 2 yr agreements aren't "money making" enough for Dan Hesse i mean honestly, we renew at least 400 contracts a day and this is one of 3 centers doing it, F*ck you Dan Hesse, F*ck you indeed...anyone out there have his mobile number...and dan@sprintpcs.com is no longer in service...2 many death threats...

damn dude, calm down

Im sorry to hear about your employement and livelyhood being lost.

If they closed my store, I would be devastated, but business is business, and obviously it made better business sense to shut down than it did to remain open.

Best wishes to you, have a beer for me too.. I close, so I wont get to have one.

They are starting what's called Salesforce which is a program for local stores to pretty much do what you're doing but at a local level. I've had a lot of positive responses from people for it too.

as a store we have about a 20% conversion rate for our sales force calls and one of the stores in our district is closer to 40%...if taken seriously it is a very productive tool!

If you do it like our store you will see a huge increase. Try taking an over the phone sales course. Our store see tons of called in customers every month. We usually close 60% of who we call.

I am calling BS on you guys saying 20%, 60% etc.

I worked in a store and as soon as you mention where you're calling from people no longer want to talk to you and hang up. A lot of the calls where this was not the case ended up turning into escalations!

It is a worthless tool and really is just not much different than cold calling.

I would be willing to bet that your high conversion rate is just from suck up reps clicking the offer accepted option to make themselves or the store look good.

I think I LOLed for real when i saw this response, 🤣 . But Honestly the idea of SFDC is a good one, giving sales "leads" to people that may not actually know what they are aware of. You prolly just have the same amount of bad luck that I do. Because when I did SFDC seriously for 3 months I only saw 2 people, out of who knows how many that promised to come in.

Evolver812, don't take it personally. It is business. You'll get to join the masses of Sprint employees who shall become jobless right before two major holidays. Too bad your department wasn't targeted for the VSP and was ISPed instead. Hopefully you won't become part of the homeless as well as jobless in America. Corporate America is not what I was accustomed to growing up. The ironic thing evolver812 is I want to be in a position to be able to right size, close, shut down, whatever you call it, departments a company deems is either nonprofitable or doesn't fit the company's big picture. 😁

don't understand your question. How does who figure up unemployment?
...
scoobypls

Nov 24, 2008, 1:13 AM
the unemployment rate is the number of people looking for work divided by the total number of people in the labor force.

The Census Bureau surveys about 60,000 households monthly.

Full employment is 4.5%. If the jobless rate falls below 4.5 then there is a shortage of labor and wages will rise but, we are currently around 6.5%. the unemployment rate hasn't been this high since 2003

He is mad, but they done us dirty. They scheduled a thanksgiving dinner for thursday, then said it would be wednesday. then thursday laid us all off. They told us we can not go on break. had us log off the phones, and then made 100-150 people crowd into a maybe a 100 sq foot section, and told us the news. the brought silly counselors and all. (only good thing is was a paid day off for remainder of day, but after 59 days unemployed)
then brought a new manager in only take her out and bring back the old one.
they knew for a long time, but never once educated us we were in jeopardy. (i understand private business disclosures)

It is business, yes it sucks, and I feel for you all, but stop expecting some weird kind of loyalty from a company.

Maybe it is disgruntly employees like this that give Sprint a bad rap when they are only doing what they need to to stay afloat.

When other people hear them complain about it, it spreads.

PLUS, if customers were not so greedy and wanted everything for free, Sprint would of never gotten into this mess int he first place.

ok so the fact that i've worked for sprint going on 3 yrs now, and they tell us our department is being "phased out". it wasn't phased out. i recieved one of my center's promotional fliers in the mail and decided to call it since it's obviously not my center's toll free number...and do you know where our "phased out" department is located now...the phillipenes...where they sew soccer balls, and make the lead based toys your kids play with, i'm not trying to call out anybody kids or mean any disrespect in any way...but this is where my job went...where it cost less. o and all this after christmas, but i guess they don't celebrate christmas in the phillipenes. thank you very much indeed mr. hesse.

not so much doom and gloom for everyone...just wanna chat w/ dan hesse. wanna have a heart to heart and let him know exactly where the loyalty in his company lies and the effects of fiscal decisions. i wish enlighten him to the fact that i renewed 400 contracts last month ...if all they ever did was cancel..that grosses the company 80,000 in ETF's. thats one month...i average between 4-5 hundred a month...i make a dollar for everyone i renew. and yea i understand it would be cheaper overseas, i know i'm billed to sprint at 25/hr of which i make 10. but you get what you pay for, everyone's spoke with one...foreign reps that can't pronounce the name "smith". but you get what you pay for mr. hesse...enjoy the failure of you first multi bi...

Do you honestly think your 400 contracts a month actually keep teh company in business? I understand the renew facts and you help keep customers from cancelling, but the company makes a ton more money outsourcing (whether they renwor not) and the millions of business customers we have. The accounts I deal with have a combined 400+ Million dollar a month revenue and our department could possibly be downsized and there is only 6 of us. It is happening everywhere. You dont hear me or any other employees freaking out about it. It happens.

I am sorry and I feel for you but it is hard right now for everyone. Get over it, find a new job making more money and move on with your life. There are other jobs out there, your life isnt over.
