Can Sprint make a comeback?
Sprint Nextel currently stands in Third for Subscribers in the nation. At one point in time, they were (seemingly) ahead.
With the new direction that the CEO is taking Sprint, and some of the adjustments (dare I say improvements) being made seem like a positive step forward. From an objective standpoint, how much damage has been done to Sprint's reputation due to the Sprint Nextel Merger, Sprint's poor customer service ratings and the overall past few years? And what impact will the steps that the company is having really make in an industry dominated by the two overwhel...

Sprint is nowhere near bankruptcy, much less in it to get out of..
They take in hundreds of millions of dollars a month. They also have less debt than Verizon, as one example.
Their biggest challenges right now are market perception and keeping up the improvements in customer service made over the last year.

And that pesky losing millions of customers every quarter.
However, are those million plus customers a quarter they are loosing actually non paying customers or ports? What are the numbers on that?
I believe sprint has furiously working on correcting the problems. We can debate all day but churn and net adds will deal the final blow or positive outcome. I hate sprint for destroying Nextel, and when I see stupid chit like press releases from sprint saying we're committed to Nextel makes me just want to scream! yeah you dumb mother ****** that's w...

So from my experience I've come to the opinion that if Sprint/Nextel want to survive they need to cut the fluff!
Go with what you got and dump you're money into it to make it better. By that I mean they've got Nextel (iDEN), quit dumping money into Qchat! It'll never compare to iDEN and from reviews on the web it has less coverage than Nextel does. Put you're money into expanding the iDEN coverage (If you really plan on "reviving" it). And stop with the hybrid phones, don't insult the customer. If they want Nextel they're going to buy a dedicated Nextel phone. If they want Sprint they'll buy Sprint.
Now for the Sprint side of the house, you've got two big...

That's what I mean buy cut the fluff & advertisements. Of course don't cut all advertising. But Sprint/Nextel has come out with some killer phones lately, in my opinion & experience they have the clearest CDMA network, and they've got the best PTT network in Nextel.
So work with that, invest in it, make it better & more reliable than it already is and EARN the customers back.

Would you buy a Honda based on their advertisements or based on their rep, witch they've earned.

Sorry Andy but advertising is key. It will make or break a service or product. Reputation doesn't mean too much in the case of Honda. Why? It's competition is say Toyota, who also has a awesome reputation. So then it comes...
