I have a problem.

I just went back to Sprint 3 days, and already they said that my service is about toe be interrupted for being past due. What gives?

It might be the spending limit on your account... Sometimes if the first bill is going to be over that, they will suggest that you pay it in advance....

My spending limit is $300, but the site says that it's past due by $50.

Did you have a deposit that wasn't collected when activated? That's what it sounds like.

It was supposed to be biled to me. I guess they changed their minds.

ac4321 has a point. call in to cust service and have them go over the details of your credit check. your credit check determines spending limit, deposit amound, and weather or not you can bill to the acct. if you didn't pay a deposit and your credit score calls for one then it will come back as a past due balance.
