What is a MRC Service Charge ??

I renewed for another 2 years with Sprint and bought a new cell phone from a customer rep via phone.
I got a $150 credit plus $50 rebate which should have brought price of phone down to $99.
I was charged $30 on top of this for a
MRC Service charge.
What the hell is that for?
Thanks

MRC= Monthly Recurring Charge
Let me guess, went with the BB Curve for $99 after rebates ?
If so, its probably the $30 BB Pro Pack.
Wait....you said it was a $50 MIR? (Mail-In Rebate)
Hm...depends. But whatever it is, its recurring. So expect it on the bills coming up....

I already have the old SERO plan at $30 a month. This is some fee tacked onto the price of the new phone. Think I will give a local Sprint store a call to see if they know the story on this fee.

Probably that is the Shipping Fee of $12 and Activation Fee of $18, a total of $30.

Guys, he said hes on sero.

MRC = Monthly Recurring Charge

He said it said MRC $30

Its just showing him his plan.

Not everything on a bill is worth freaking out over.

Probably the $30 is the Blackberry Data Pack. For a Blackberry phone, that data pack is required so that you'll have the MIR.

Great news!
Called Sprint to verify what this fee was and it was gone.
The only fee was tax so instead of a final cost of $130 after $50 rebeat and 2 year agreement is a end cost of $1.11 for the Katana Eclipse to run on my SERO plan.
