Email on the Samsung Instinct???
Hey guys, I just read where a lot of the cable companies are not allowing their email to be used on the Instinct unless they go to the web... Does anyone have some more info on this???

For the most part it is Road Runner Email.You can receive mail just fine.Replying or sending is the tricky part.You can't use Road Runner as your outgoing server.I used my username@sprintpcs.com (all sprint users have one of these email address)Tech support can assist if you need the info. This is true for Road Runner accounts on all phones like Instinct, Touch, Moguel, PDA or not.

i dont agree with what u just said. there is a difference between instinct and the touch& mogul. first of all the instinct isnt even a smartphone let alone a pda. also, on the touch and mogul there is more options to customize the settings for the outgoing server like the pw and username. the instinct at this moment does not give u that option. so setting the outgoing server to smtp.sprintpcs.com will not fix your issue on the instinct.
the work around for cable email is for them to foward all their emails to an account like gmail,yahoo,or hotmail and then set up that account on their instinct phone.
